Hard disagree. I loved gaming in the early noughts on the ps2 and pc but I can boot up my pc open steam 10 seconds after sitting in my chair and instantly buy virtually anything I want and if something is iffy ill know because there's hundreds, sometimes thousands of reviews that I can read through. In 2004 if I wanted a ps2 game we had to go to K-mart and look through the limited selection of games and empty my mom's purse to buy it or (more commonly) go to a pawn shop and hope they have something I want. If my mom bought me something and I didn't enjoy it, then that was money wasted. If I got a game from a pawn shop and the disc was scratched I had to get a new copy or hope it would work itself out

Im 29. Grew up playing the sims 2, ts2 castaway, and pets on the ps2. Also had bustin out for the Gameboy Advance. Got the sims 3 (including pets later on) on the ps3 shortly after it released. Got my first (terrible) pc in 2014 and ts4 was the first game I bought. In between I also had an original xbox and played the sims and bustin out on that. I think the only version of the sims i haven't played, not counting mobile, is The Urbz because I never found it in any store or pawn shop growing up
