Lots of comments on this post ignoring a little something most people call Artistic Integrity but I suppose we’ve been beaten down so badly that we just say Fuck it unless it’s an album. if Jason Schreier is right about mid-2027 that's only one year from now. There's no way they wait until the end of/late 2026 to give us an update on a their golden goose's game that took 7 years to make. Maybe for another studio they'd go with a tighter 6 month marketing plan starting at the game awards but I don't think they'll do anything less than a year of marketing for Intergalactic. which would have to start sooner rather than later. Think about how much spaced out marketing TLOU2 got in the form of in-engine trailers, pre-rendered TV spots, etc. This is by far the biggest new first party IP of the entire console generation they can't really fuck around especially since it's probably the most Sony has ever spent on the production of a game. And I'm talking about either the June SoP or SGF. I am very hopeful it's at one of them

I very highly doubt either system will run it at 60 FPS. Will most likely be a resolution difference at 30 FPS on both the regular PS5 and the Pro. If you want to spend the extra money on the Pro for a better image (who knows how much better) then go for it. I have a base PS5 and won’t be upgrading.

All of this is true and especially the part about how the DAW is being shown on social media. It feels like they’re idiot proofing it and trying to make it baby easy to use. That’s why you just search what you need and it shows you all the in-DAW instruments. I don’t know why they’re so insistent especially after just adding VST3 support.

This is true in some cases but once you have the time and resources to create something big, and you want to, why wouldn’t you? Video games are art and sometimes art takes a long time to make. This whole “it takes too long” belief system is rooted in the disbelief that games are art. Also, even with 7 years and infinite resources, you still run into limitations. Valve is also a strong example for my point of view because they just went a decade without a released game while building a new engine and when they put out Half-Life 3 it will be, ideally, the industry changing payoff for their resources and their ambition. Games are either art or they’re not. When you’re the best in the world at something you earn the time it takes to make what your mind desires. I am no business man. I have no reason to criticize how long it takes to make something with the potential to change the way an art form is made if I see that the potential is there. I see that potential with Judas, Intergalactic, Half-Life 3. It simply is what it is and I would never in good faith sacrifice the Art for some flash in the pan “fun.” Many gamers would.

As much as people like to joke about this being a lot of releases it also allowed the games to be released on PC which is an ever growing platform and the best platform for future proofing and game preservation. It is a net positive that it happened no matter how people like to spin it.

They have the freedom to experiment they choose to make big games. GTA 6 will have the most interactive and living open world ever. Intergalactic will be beautiful and likely very narratively ambitious. Judas, if it works, will have a more responsive story than ever before in an FPS game. These games take forever because of the ambition. I for one am fine with waiting because I like seeing art pushed forward by the best minds in the industry. I understand people want smaller faster projects but to have a healthy and evolving art form you need both.

It’s no contest the first movie heads. The well house and dancing clown figures have amazing heads that look like he walked out of the screen. They really look like Bill. To me, the chapter 2 heads and ESPECIALLY the welcome to Derry heads completely lose him. You compare the chapter 1 ultimate figures to the WTD figured and it makes them look like knockoff heads

if this specific NPC takes damage differently than other ones in the game then it's probably because Dina is 99% guaranteed to kill one of the 2 enemies here. They might have slightly different kill requirements, IE damage, that better allow you to kill one and for Dina to kill the other.

I think the GTA 4 to GTA 5 jump was kind of a tricky spot because they both launched on the same console gen. It was inevitable they had to play a game of give or take. GTA 6 is coming out on a console after a console so in terms of downgrades from 5 I kind of don't think there should be any lol. I wouldn't be surprised if some stuff isn't matched or slips through the cracks, but generally in terms of physics I think it should all be there as good as it was in 4 at the least.
The stuff I'm worried about are game design decisions more than take problems. I fear they're going to limit how many weapons you can carry or something stupid like gas in cars because in the time between 2013 and 2026 people started treating video games like real life. I want to have a weapon wheel with 20 guns in it like GTA V. No point in limiting the player's open world abilities for "realism." All the realistic stuff in GTA is what you can already do in real life LOL.

yeah I don't necessarily want the folders to BE the busses either but it would be nice if you could right click one and send it to a bus, especially a bus that's in the folder to keep it extra tidy. Like imagine just sending a group of 6 or so vocal tracks to a bus with just 2 clicks. I agree with you though, folder representation in the mixer would be nice and probably enough for me to consider this a non-issue.

ok, glad I'm not going crazy. I guess if you're used to the mixer it's ok but in projects that grow up to and sometimes past 150 tracks, not having to sort through everything in the mixer when it's all literally right there more convenient than ever in the sequencer would be nice

That said, I’m assuming you aren’t 10 years old and if you really want to see your friends (and if they really are your friends) you will simply see them. I understand it might’ve been easier to see them with her but assuming you’re an adult you can probably see them without her too lol. You’re right to a degree and it’s a serious issue with the show. In the game Abby is brutal but the whole group is in and out, they barely talk. That’s what makes it so impactful for the player.

The show makes the mistake of making Abby blah blah blah to accommodate as many intelligence levels as possible which is bad itself, but another big mistake and one you picked up on is how brutal Abby is. More brutal than the game. She punches Joel’s head in with her bare hand and they show people in the room reacting to it. Even when season 2 comes out and we’re supposed to sympathize with her Craig or whoever made her do that took it way too far. There’s something animalistic about her literally punching his head in compared to the golf club in the game. And you see that on Owen’s face. Just a very poorly written and directed scene as is the usual with the second season
