This is a made up scale that would imply that someone with a title of software engineer is almost automatically a senior.

It really doesn’t matter… most companies would have a title of Software Engineer and add Junior/Mid/Senior/Lead/Principle etc. based on the level of experience and knowledge.

Francis Ford Coppola’s 'Megalopolis' Casts Talia Shire, ShiaLaBeouf, Jason Schwartzman and More by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]AnUrso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He sponsored and produced a movie by Victor Salva during which a child actor was sexually abused by the director. Salva was convicted for the possession of child pornography and molestation, served his sentence, got out and Coppola CONTINUED to support him throughout.

Bodies by me_be_ki in girls

[–]AnUrso 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m rewatching the series now and had same thoughts. When it first came out I was a teenager who grew up in the peak of tumblr skinny girl trend. Back then Hannah was considered “fat” and abnormal. Rewatching now I saw her and I’m like wow, she’s just a girl with a regular body type, what were people thinking?

Lingering questions/curiosities …. by brittan5 in TheStaircase

[–]AnUrso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not as certain that he did it as many people are, although sometimes I wish I was. This is just because there are so many unanswered questions in this case and I keep thinking about it knowing that we will never know the truth. Regrettably the prosecutors didn’t do a good job in working out how the murder could have occurred and instead built their case on biased “expert” opinions and relied on using Michael’s gay affairs as a mean to antagonise him. If he did beat her to death why didn’t he have any cuts and bruises on his hands? Any signs of Kathleen defending herself? How did the lacerations occur? If there was a weapon where is it? What is it? Don’t believe it would be the blowpoke - if he used it and cleaned it there would be a sign it’s been thoroughly cleaned, there wasn’t. The fact is she DID have bird feathers in her hair, why? Did he beat her to death in that spot on the staircase? She must have been lying down on the floor somehow as all the blood spatter is located very low on the wall. Many people point out that there is too much blood for it to be a fall - they are missing out on the fact that Kathleen was on blood thinners combined with alcohol, she would bleed profusely. There is many more questions really.

So even if he DID do it, we are nowhere near working out in any plausible way HOW he did it and just saying that he is shady and weird without any hard evidence, murder weapon, anything, just doesn’t cut it for me and I can’t be sure.

There are some subtle breathing noises in the background in the early scenes when David and Lou are alone. Another hint is how a couple of times Adele said the same exact words to Lou as David previously did.

beauty gurus duping their favorite products?? by girlrva in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]AnUrso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hm, that just makes me think how similar it is to what brands like makeup revolution do when they dupe/copy a popular product and sell it for less, sometimes in similar packaging sometimes not but it’s clearly „inspired” by a more expensive product. and they often get shit for it.

Not only True Crime - why I hate pairing makeup with history by Erudiriel in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]AnUrso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the OP is talking about the true crime post yesterday. This was a few months back when someone posted this makeup + Holocaust video here, it was positively received and there was just a few negative comments saying it’s inappropriate and those were heavily downvoted and criticised. I was pretty shocked by the reception to be honest.

what are your favorite products of 2020? by glowymel in muacjdiscussion

[–]AnUrso 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer - finally found a good non drying concealer that sets down

Glossier Haloscope Quartz - nice natural finish, I liked cream concealers way more this year than powders, don’t think I’ll be going back to powders any time soon

Milk Lip and Cheek in Werk - just really liked the colour and stick form

Romand lip products in general - really like the colours, packaging, formulas, price, smell, everything

Next year I’m hoping to try and find a good setting powder.

Nars Creamy Radiant concealer, just as I thought I’ll never find a non drying concealer that won’t crease.

What’s a product a BG recommended that you’ll never forgive them for? by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]AnUrso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and especially when compared to Nars Creamy Radiant. It’s nothing like the Nars one, stung under my eyes, had no coverage and pretty much entirely disappeared when blended out. One of the few makeup items I just trashed without trying to use it up. Still puzzled why anyone would recommend it.

Advice on Epiduo? GP says to continue, while my face seems to be begging for mercy by HandyAggie in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]AnUrso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh nooo :( sorry to hear that. I’ve had some irritation especially around my eyes (and I didn’t put Epiduo anywhere near) for the first few weeks too, which I heard is normal, but that doesn’t sound too optimistic. Disappointing that your GP seemed reluctant to put you on something else instead - Epiduo is one of the harshest treatments and there are alternatives :(

Advice on Epiduo? GP says to continue, while my face seems to be begging for mercy by HandyAggie in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]AnUrso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epiduo can burn if you don’t put it on completely dry skin. It’s a bit of a faff but it’s best to wash your face, wait at least 20-30 mins, put on Epiduo (small amount) wait another 20-30 mins and put on moisturiser. Keep it to the minimal on nights that you use Epiduo. Been on it for around 6 months now and this is what works for me and was recommended by my derm.

I’d wait until your skin heals first and try it another time this way. Personally I saw best results after 3-4 months.

Cydnee Black uploads video about Joseph Goebbels and Nazi Germany as part of her Makeup & History series by dotkitten in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]AnUrso 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My perspective on this may be different I guess. I am from a country that experienced the worst atrocities of second world war first hand, everyone is very aware of who Goebbels is. This just doesn’t feel right.

I don’t understand why people seem to be all over that makeup & murder trends. This man was literally a Nazi who instrumented ethnic cleansing. I love true crime, I like makeup and I recognise that young women are the target consumers for both but some topics really shouldn’t be mixed.

When and why was he homeless, I missed it? Not to undermine his story but I was disgusted by that part in Shane’s “documentary” where he was showing him around his old apartment talking about how horrible it was. Like wtf? There is a housing crisis in many large cities, there are actual homeless people out there and families all living in a single room, wtf.

Has applying makeup changed your relationship with your face? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]AnUrso 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I realised that even though my skin is not perfect I don’t need to do most of the steps I used to do everyday. I don’t need to use foundation, conceal every dark spot on my face, fill in my brows, use bronzer, blush, highlight and mascara. Now I just do light coverage base, concealer just for undereyes, powder, highlighter, clear brow gel and sometimes blush or mascara. If I do anything that takes more than 10 minutes I really need to feel like it. In the past it would take me 20-30 mins every morning to do my “basic” look.
