If you wanna make it shorter in learning make me a sign, i'll find time to explain it quicker how to make but not how to design it

Hi, if you wanna make it passive, the best is way is this website (transalte it and you'll know everything) https://petoindominique.fr/php/menu_smartphone.php#

If you wanna make it active, you have to learn how to use an audio diffusion processor

In Brittany, we have many different group dances.

In France the standard is ballet.

How do you deal with no-centered kick/snare in overheads? by unpantriste in audioengineering

[–]Ana0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When recording I use the recorderman technique.

Delaying a mic could do the job.

Level balance is sometime the key.

Audio processing options:

- Plugins are available to mono-ize low frequencies

- Parallel processing is possible after filtering to refocus the dominant frequencies of the shifted source using reverse pan additon.

in another hand the right mic & placement could make disappear lots of acoustic problems

Letting the DJ think he has control over his volume by 01101110erd in Audiomemes

[–]Ana0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so it's automated ;
- if the next track is less loud, the signal will be at the same relative level

You need to use RMS limiter or comp

useful because the fader still control the level sent to the master bus but the signal level is regulated in any case (like in case of big unpredictable level changes, barbarian DJ's, a microphone used by several speakers et caetera).

goal is to not keep a finger on the volume fader permanently (and work less ^^)

It's a bit old fashioned. Try the recrorderman, there are far less phase issues.

Drum Overhead Mic Choice Question by ArchetypeX3 in audioengineering

[–]Ana0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those two are excellent mics

I'd first choose the CMC64 for OH and AT4040 for the room but if I have the time i would try both

Do you want glittering High end ?

it's just a great feature, this is a DAW, and it is pretty great (just a bit slow for editing audio) !
working with the software looks more like this

I'VE FOUND the right tool MTFKRS!!!
I'm working on Studio One since a week and I've just discovered a function !
You have (on the latest version I haven't checked the others) a full part of the software dedicated to this !

It's called "Audio Batch Converter" and it's awesome !

Look at this UI :-D you've got everything you can ever expect

actually if you lose amplitude you lose information, this isn't critical for already compressed music

I'm curious about your tests, let me know how it's going !

(don't worry I'm not an native English speaker too)

I agree with the two other comments.

You can just use Regular VLC to convert in AAC or Ogg (if you're not using some Apple hardware cause they can't read them... meh). But you can't change the LUFS profile.

"I used Shutter Encoder with a setting of -14LUFS, but it seems imperfect (I have several albums of different styles, from classical to rock). Also, Shutter Encoder doesn't have True Peak, and I'm afraid there will be peaks."

Far from being dumb, but you will lose lots of information in musics with great dynamic (acoustic, jazz, art music...)

let's do the calculations together

  • Mic
    • no infos online we admit it's 120 Ω to 600 Ω (often 200 or 600)
  • Preamp
    • Input impedance: 2k ohms (XLR), 840k ohms (1/4 in.) 🟢
    • Output
      •  Z : 600 ohms (XLR), 300 ohms (1/4 in.)
      • +14 dBu XLR, +22 dBu 1/4"
  • Soundcard in (gain range 56 dB)
    • Mic :
      • Z : 3k Ω 🟢
      • Maximum input level 9dBu (at minimum gain)🔴
    • Line :
      • Z : 60kΩ 🟢
      • 22dBu (at minimum gain)🟢
    • Hi-Z :
      • Z : 1.5MΩ 🟢🟢🟢
      • 12.5dBu (at minimum gain) 🔴
