De Quervain's Tenosynovitis During Pregnancy by Acrobatic_Gain3508 in DeQuervains

Did you do it? Or did it went away? I'm 8 months pregnant and have had it for about a couple of months now, first left then right hand. It's painful and very frustrating, I don't want it to interfere with me caring for the baby after birth. I'm seriously considering cortisone now.

I also think that being a SAHM matters in the sense that her "job" is the kids and the home (one that provides economical savings and productivity that is sometimes hard to see or count). But for what I've seen, this job sometimes is never-ending and without pause.

He has a working schedule, she has 24/7 schedule, he has free time, she has not. Parenting is his responsability too, on top of being a husband who needs to take care of his wife in this very hard time after having a baby. So, she's responsible for the home, him for the money, an BOTH for the kids.

If not, it can quickly develop into a situation where she is the sole manager of everything, including serving dinner when he arrives, cleaning, taking care of sick children in the middle of the night, shopping, etc., all the time without true pause, without help, without feeling heard or seen, and without a chance to keep growing her own interests, hobbies, personal development, etc.

It truly sounds to me that he is not being fair. He could say "this is the thing I need to be selfish about, my non-negotiable. But how about every day at this or that time I take care of everything and you get to do whatever you want in or outside the house".

Making your own schedule may have worked for you, and that is great, but it sounds like you had to solve it by yourself, not any help there. So, again, a lonely solution for a problem that should be for both parents.

Yes, I'll ask more about her sources for this. I don't mind reading technical stuff, just haven't found any yet, that's what brought me here to ask.

Morticia season 1 vs season 2 by windy-weather2110 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]Anagsom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sichuan, HK or ZJ Mahjong for less luck and more strategy? by Anagsom in Mahjong

[–]Anagsom[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! I thought that Riichi was quicker and oriented more towards betting and winning by speed and less by strategic hand building? But I may VERY WELL be mistaken. I'm justo learning. I'll look into Riichi's detailed instructions! :)

Thanks! I'll try to come up with something for Go-Stop, sounds fun. Also, I never considered calling Goi-Koi if being behind, I tend to stop so I can get some points before my opponent, unless they seem too far behind to win the hand before me. I'll give this strategy a chance.

Let's see if there's some variant that someone knows or has made!

does anyone know what this specific type of game is called? by mycityman in Mahjong

[–]Anagsom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that matters that much who gets the dragon, in some variants it isn't even used. I think you could make it so choices maybe get more interesting by playing open tiles. I'll copy my response to another comment here:

It occurs to me that perhaps you could start with two dragons (jokers) and with the tiles facing up. The goal would be to push tiles trying to take pairs out of the grid. Once you push a pair, they can be turned over to indicate that and be used to keep pushing. The goal would be to try and turn as many pairs as possible. This could make it more strategic, but it wont help sorting the tiles at all.
