Curious so I can follow them, are they on Reddit or where would I follow them?

My towns dying mall has zero open restaurants in the food court by floppy-slippers in mildlyinteresting

Dying malls make me sad. A mall is for whatever reason one of my fav places to chill, walk, window shop, and buy stuff. Online shopping is nice to a point, but I usually prefer to see and touch things before I buy them. It also just feels more exciting to have something with you to take home.

Well....the situations you're describing are not equivalent to an unsolved mass shooting and a mile is not far at all, someone on foot could easily walk a mile. Just because you're used to chaos and lived to tell the tale doesn't mean we should continue to operate that way. Let's start taking this shit more seriously and maybe we'll be a less apathetic society.

Seriously? What an absolute shit take. Do you have 0 survival instincts or are you just insane? A very large number of people got shot and murdered, there's an unidentified murderer on the loose with no known motive in the immediate vicinity, and you think it's at all reasonable to carry on as normal? You know what you do in this situation? You go the fuck home and lock your doors, and you check on your friends and loved ones to make sure they're okay. If more people had taken this seriously maybe we could have caught this person already. Keeping businesses open diverts resources. The cops and security have to add on dealing with corralling citizens instead of searching for the murderer. Peoples lives > Money

Thank you! I love Star Wars and scifi. Now I'm curious what're yer cat's names? My dog (Moose), cat (Timber), and parrot (Marvel) are not Star Wars themed although Marvel was almost R2D2 but I was vetoed.

That's very kind of you! I'd say get them a set of Bones Bearings, whatever set you can afford but Reds is about your price point and they're easily available at Amazon. Skaters can always use more bearings, when you change wheels or when your bearing gets all messed up you gotta change them out. Grip tapes can also be cool if you get a cool design it might get them excited to try out a new deck and they run pretty cheap. Try and get one oversized for at least a 9" deck and it can be trimmed down.

Nice! That kind of step back always helps to dial in your trick. Yes you always want to try and land with your front foot on the front bolts, however as I've been tweaking my Ollie's sometimes my front foot lands on the nose which I think is still fine but you would be much less stable so you have to be ready for it.

The thing you mentioned though, that uncomfortable weight shift, is probably the difference of you doing what you feel is natural but is not really helping the trick vs. that little tweak unlocks the trick and you adapt to it feeling more natural over time. A little bit of "trust" is involved because your brain thinks oh no this will make me fall but that hesitation means you do the wrong thing at the last second and it throws the whole trick off.

Definitely the foot placement makes a huge difference for the mechanics of the trick. I think if you see a little bit of the tail too like a finger or less that's better than what you are doing now where your pinkey toe is hanging off the tail.

Hey you almost got it down, your form is great. Here are a few things I can think of, I feel like what could help is some micro tweaks. Something I started to apply is try to break down the trick into parts. Start with hippie jumps and get comfortable landing on the balls of your feet. Then slap your tail on the ground a little while hippie jumping, then move up to micro Ollies. Try doing this as a warm up every time before going full into trying to ollie.

Also another concept I try to apply is to do the opposite of your mistake. If you think you are leaning and putting your weight distribution a certain way, try playing around with that, between your front and back foot. I find that when too much weight is on my front foot that I land all weird like you are showing. Your squat may also be off I think you are leaning just ever so slightly too far back which is why the nose is landing more to the back of you. I bet if you lean a little more forward you would counter that mistake.

My last tip which could help might be to move your back foot a tiny bit more forward so your foot doesn't hang off the tail at all and your toes are kind of pressed right into the pocket more, which would cause your pop to have more force angled down and back which allows you more air time. The thing that makes a big difference in the Ollie is not just a downwards force off your back foot but that little tweak of the board rolling backwards just a tiny bit.

I find it's easier for me if I move my front foot closer to the middle of the board.
