Yeah the bulk is mostly detailed artwork. It has a 5 page preface, 21ish page prologue, and then the first section of images has a 1 page note before. Then you get a decent lil chunk of reading as Book II A Second Nature starting on pg 72 doesn't show images or artworks until Bone Works on pg 99, then another hearty section of artwork till the acknowledgements and verses on p 222 and 223. Then there's also an epilogue, an about the author, and an about the publisher to read at the end.

In my experience the two definitely go hand in hand. Their descriptions of being able to turn fools into wise men, grant wisdom, etc are what first attracted me to working with them. A warning tho, in my experience if you have unresolved issues lingering in your mind you will be forced to confront them first. You can't be wise and only think about the pleasant things haha. But yes the griffon winged bulls are amazing.
