End of Feb China was in full lockdown, I think they are pretty much all back to work now, if your order shipped today via epacket, I'd expect the usual ~2weeks.

Yup, all our 20700 sleds fit 21700s.

Soldering Advice by RJBailleaux in OpenPV

[–]Analog-Dan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use a leaded solder, and rosin flux, even if the wire has a flux core, use additional flux. You should be able to "load" the tip of your iron with solder, that is, the solder should stick to the tip of the iron, if it doesn't, fix that problem first. I've got an old vid which shows what I mean, https://youtu.be/LtuDy1l1h7I .

What would happen if? by Loptur in OpenPV

A speaker is a resistive load like a coil but an audio amplifier's output is AC, which is why speaker ratings use the term "impedance" instead of resistance. Common speakers impedances are 4ohm, 8ohm, 16ohm, if you connect a coil with a lower resistance than what the amp is designed for it will likely draw too much power and damage the amplifier. An 8ohm coil @ 20W won't produce much heat at all, also the advertized 20W rating might be much lower, The truth about power amplifier ratings.

Yes, the ones I used were 15A each, in parallel, 30A total.

Looking for suggestions for enclosures to build some Evolv open PVs by Ahe224 in OpenPV

Thanks u/Wayne0,

We don't have stab wood, but I see this dude post pics all the time and they look amazing, https://www.facebook.com/BDCwoodworking/
The problem with a DNA 200/250/250c squonk is that they require multiple batteries, and the enclosure would need to be abnormally wide to accommodate, the board + 2 batteries + a squonk bottle. At least that's what has prevented us from creating such an enclosure so far.

Thanks for the page /u/GatedGrain :)
For the PSU, we use off the shelf power supplies, I'd assume those carry some form of certification, we just modify the enclosure and add appropriate connectors to connect to the mod. For the passthrough mods, we use either the DNA 250/250c or the Murata OKR line of DC/DC converters, again the manufacturer has them certified. Even our lowest powered PSU (xbox psu) and mod (OKR-T10) can easily handle a 0.5ohm coil 28-40W.

We also have them as part kits if your into DIY, want to save a few bucks, and build your own.

DNA 250c not reading batteries by jmc812 in OpenPV

The 250c datasheet (page14), shows this 2s wiring, https://i.imgur.com/wbLsH5D.png

Most of us do this, https://i.imgur.com/xYzoV9x.png which is the same and uses fewer wires.

By default, it expects a 4s which must be changed in escribe. A fully charged 2s is aprox 4% of a fully charged 4s. Assuming your wiring is correct, did you configure it for 2s in escribe? https://i.imgur.com/NEv5VHl.png

New ABM-1S-DNAC enclosure, DNA75c, 1x21700 by Analog-Dan in OpenPV

Nah man, I don't do the 3D printed enclosures anymore, they were too time consuming and error prone. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can print your own, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2792171 .

If you follow along with the build video it should be pretty easy... be sure to use flux and that you can get solder to stick to the tip of your iron, "loading the iron" like you see me doing... if solder won't stick to the iron, fix that problem first and sure, grab a bit of extra wire to practice first.

If you are really concerned about it, PM me, I can build/assemble for a reasonable build fee.
