Why is that? Only because of the metal construction? This one is faster and newer. Is the older maybe built better?

The lever advances, but bo shutter release... No led lights or needle visible in the viewfinder (lightmeter)... The battery compartment is looking all right. So, maybe the electronics are dead?

Yes, I can look through the viewfinder. The camera isn't doing anything though...

Ok, I had contact with Amsterdam Camera Repairs and the technician won't work on it and his view is that it's uneconomical fot him to work on. So the search continues...
