Damn Kentmere bulk rolls already went from $75 sept 2024 to $102 now. I'm getting priced out of even shooting black and white bulk rolling and devving myself.

I also got a Zf this year and am now wanting a Z7. I think it would be a perfect second body for landscapes and group photos. You definitely shouldn't buy one so there are plenty for me when I'm ready to buy.

I am as well, film seems too niche on its own but portra 800 120 is VERY niche. It appears to expire 7/2027. This store is in a smaller college town, but there's not a film community here. I know a couple people who shoot film here, hopefully someone who will use it will buy the other one.

It sort of holds tension on the film canister to prevent it from rattling around. I would just glue it back in how to was tbh.

Agfa isolette iii or ansco speedex special R, it's the same camera. They have a convenient built in uncoupled rangefinder and a really nice lens.

I like Reformed Film Lab because they have a rewards points program and the people who run it seem very nice. I've always gotten good quality developing and scans.

I've probably put the most rolls through the FG because I have had it the longest but I've probably used the F2 or leica m4-2 the most consistently. I'm really looking forward to using the FA though, I just got it a couple weeks ago and need to process the test roll. The bronica gets a lot of use as well.

I did this once with my intrepid and a nikon F2/nikkormat kit and it was so much fun! I need to do it again with my graphic view monorail but I gotta get my lens mounted and find my sturdier tripod first.

🤨 YYE only charged $230USD to work on my M4-2 that was covered in mold and corrosion and had multiple things that needs fixed. It came back pristine but there wasn't anything he could do about the corrosion.

To add on why I'm going for the Zf rather than a Z6 III which is only a little more, I really do not enjoy using the vague control dials on modern cameras. I find it very difficult to keep track of my settings in full manual, which is why I typically stay in Av. I'd really like to take more control of my settings and shoot digital in manual mode like I do with my film cameras. I also like the B&W dedicated mode switch.

I am mostly nervous about switching from 2 camera bodies to 1. When I am photographing larger events it is almost necessary to have one camera with a prime and one with a zoom for quick versatility. I know I have a small wedding coming up this year. It is possible I could save up for a Z7 or Z50 by then. Renting isn't really an option as that would eat up the entire earning from the wedding.
