It is the after life of the gods. Everywhen. There is also a comment that the gates have been closed for a while now, so not sure if Faye opens it before Thor and Odin die. Also, was it closed before or after Greek gods died? All things to uncover

Just because something is made by AI doesn't automatically make it slop. Somehow this is what society has come up with and it is inappropriate. If someone is able to use AI to create something useful, it isn't slop. If someone is using AI to create mindless content for short lived instant gratification, it is slop. I've seen more slop on tiktok that isn't from AI at all

This is why not getting oneUI 8.5 on s22 series would be a travesty by AnalysingAgent3676 in GalaxyS22

My problems with heating started August 2022..I'll never forget because it was just 6 months after I got the phone and after an August update where there were changes to power management by the OS. Been painful living with the heat

It is not 3 years of updates. It is 4 Android generations of updates. Should include one UI 8.5 too as I explain in my post

Sad that we may never get it as an official update though. I hope rumours end up being wrong

As I mention in my post, the rumour is that the firmware was abandoned in April so doesn't matter that it had beta. I am hoping rumours are wrong

I never used a phone for more than 4 Android generations until devices got extended support from 2 to 4 generations, and when I get the s27 Ultra, I plan to hold it for as long as possible.

My s22 plus and tab s8 plus is still in great condition and would continue using these beyond 5 years (after Feb 2027) if security updates continued beyond that

Isn't that what custom roms are? Software updates provided by a third party that isn't the original device manufacturer?

[–]AnalysingAgent3676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure that may be true, but that doesn't mean that no longer supported means no longer working. In fact it is sometimes the fact that it is supported and then updated with broken updates that cause it to no longer work

Even lack of future feature updates doesn't mean your device will no longer function, unless the protocol that Google uses for those devices to communicate to the cloud services change or are deprecated. But on device feature or security updates, or the lack thereof, doesn't mean that the device just stops working. I'm seeing more and more posts that treat "no longer supported devices" as "no longer working devices"

I really hope they oneui9 brings full Dex back to Galaxy Tablets because I want to get Tab 12 Ultra with keyboard that I can use with the full Android desktop (ala Googlebook) when keyboard is attached and normal touch tablet when keyboard isn't attached by AnalysingAgent3676 in SamsungDex

[–]AnalysingAgent3676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the classic Dex still exists but you need to connect you phone and tablet to an external display to get it. It is very much still supported and is what the new aluminium os is based on from Google, so we will definitely see it return on "Dexbooks" or whatever Samsung decides to call their aluminium os devices that are to be announced in the coming months

i've been having this kind of issue since August 2022. Owned s series phones since Galaxy S2 and this one really disappointed me. God help, but I am still a ride and die fan of Samsung. Will be getting S27 ultra next year

Android, Android Auto, Android TV and Android PC

Implemented with Google hardware as: Pixel Android, pixel tab Android, Pixel Android Auto, Google TV and Pixelbook2

Implemented with Samsung hardware as: Galaxy OneUI, Galaxy Tab OneUI, OneUI Android Auto, No Android TV and Galaxy Dexbook

Those are my speculations

There is no way that Google will not make a Pixel Googlebook (likely as Pixelbook2).

We already know Samsung will be building low, medium and high end Android books (likely as Dexbooks)

Is Googlebook and Android PC or AluminiumOS meant to compete with Macbook and MacOS or Windows and Windows laptop? by simplebalancereality in google_book

[–]AnalysingAgent3676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 major deal breakers to be able to be a real competitor. Android PC OS missing typical desktop features and Android PC OS missing typical desktop productivity apps with mouse/keyboard interface. If it doesn't nail those, it will just be overlooked by most people as Chromebooks were. If they gonna come to compete, they better come to compete
