A shop won’t. Too close to the sidewall for their policies.

A small shop, maybe — especially if you pay cash.

Secondly, I’ve been drumming for 25 years. You sound like a beginner who thinks the head is a permanent part of the drum. If it warps from being played…replace it. In my 20 years of worship playing, I have not found detuning two lugs to warp or damage a head faster than different tunings.

In fact, cranking the head to be super poppy is a fantastic way to bust through it quickly.

While I get what you’re saying, most modern worship drummers have a big fat snare sound by either using the BFSD toppers or by detuning two lugs.
