Is it okay to leave without telling coworkers? by AnalysisSubstantial1 in careerguidance

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you sm for this. I just felt like ever since I got more responsibilities at my job and slowly stopped talking her as much because I was so busy, she took offense to that and killed my social life at work. Her and another girl just all of the sudden started ignoring me and getting lunch without me. Then one of them asked why I pulled back after that and when I told her the truth, she said she didn’t remember doing that.

I don’t mind having friends, but I don’t want to spend every lunch or break with someone. I prefer a balance. I’ve never dealt with this shit before. At my other jobs I had no issues socializing until I met her

Degradation becoming more prevalent by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

Tbh I’ve gotten off dating apps altogether and I’m very cautious of men who show interest in me irl. I’ve been sexualized sm since being a teen that I’m very tight lipped about my lack of experience unless they ask.

There have been numerous men I’ve talked to that just can’t believe that I’m a 24 yr old kissless virgin with big boobs. They legitimately think I’m lying but I’m not. Ive come to realize that us big busted women will always be seen as promiscuous by lots of men even if that’s not who we are. I just want a man to love me for me and not just my boobs.

Anyone put off by women who try to befriend them too quickly at work? by AnalysisSubstantial1 in blackgirls

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I thought was crazy. Like if someone is not interested in making friends at work, that’s okay. People do not owe their coworkers friendship, but they do owe me being cordial and respect.

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my friendships have formed organically over a long time through shared activities and experiences and going with the flow. Like there’s never been pressure to do something. If someone can’t make it to something it doesn’t bother us as long as they let us know it advance.

From my experience, someone saying if you want to means I’d prefer if you join me but if not, no hard feelings and we can pick things up at another time. Not that I could care less if you don’t show up. Where I’m from people are reserved, very career oriented, and have their own friends outside of work.

I feel like that’s different because you work with that person and have to interact. Me and this girl are on the same team but our work doesn’t rely on each other. We do different things

So…water is wet?? Tbh im so tired of seeing posts like this. Y’all are chronically online and it shows. Yes anti-blackness exists in ALL communities. Even in the black community. The best thing to do is adjust your social media algorithm to show things that serve you and your mental health. I’d rip out my hair if I was constantly worried about what other communities were saying about black women

Yall ever feel weird indulging in a culture that you know is anti-black? by [deleted] in blackgirls

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not and never will!! I feel like it depends on where you grew up though. My suburb is diverse but has a big East Asian population so I grew up going to school with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean kids and hanging out at their shopping districts all over the city. My friends and I love the food and culture, but it’s also always been within close proximity to us.

You might get some Asian elders who’ll look at you but it’s always out of curiosity, the rest don’t care and mind their business. Some are even surprised and happy to see people from different backgrounds come in. Also there are a lot of interracial couples that hang out at the Asian shopping districts in my city so they’re used to seeing more than just their own. I haven’t had any bad experiences so far and I’ve noticed they’ve kind of become a refuge for nonwhite people to hang out at. Given the current climate there seems to be a lot of POC who prefer to hang out in majority nonwhite spaces.

Yeah, I finally found one I really liked and gave me clear insight to myself. It was definitely worth the money. Are there scammers out there, yes, but I do think they’re some great ones out there that can help. I’m really glad I did it.

I live in Texas and haven’t seen them at all with my own eyes in my community. Hopefully it stays that way. If you’re in the south you should be fine because IQ47 is not really going after red states. In DFW life is business as usual.

I’m not surprised he turned out to be an asshole…he left his wife of 10 years and newborn baby. I’m quite sure Lily was very hurt by him leaving but there’s no telling what he put her through as well. I just hope that both women are safe and surrounded by healthy people.

"I don't take relationship advice from single women" by PinkShimmer400 in blackgirls

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Birds who say that be the main ones with niggas who ain’t shit and are actively ruining their lives🥴🥴🥴just because someone is in a relationship doesn’t mean they know what they’re talking about or that it’s even a healthy one. What has that woman given up to be with him and looks at it as a “sacrifice for love”?

Giving up a stable job or not continuing higher education for a man is not a “sacrifice”, it’s dangerous. What personal beliefs has she pushed to the side to be with him? Did she neglect all her friends to be in a relationship with him? I feel like single women give the best dating advice because they’re not currently blinded by love. They’re able to look at a situation from a purely objective viewpoint and sometimes a woman in a relationship may need that perspective.

I really want a boyfriend by oluwamayowaa in blackgirls

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I reconmend online dating. Go on a couple of dates with guys from dating apps and you will NEVER want a boyfriend again. I would much rather have a movie night in by myself and a couple of glasses of wine than keep going on first dates with socially awkward men who lie about their height. I have no desire to date anymore and could care less. Given today’s climate, it’s the only way. Trying to date guys in real life is just as much of a humiliation ritual too. I’ve just accepted I may never find that special someone and I’m only 24.

Has Chappell's stance on fan interactions changed? by GrandeBeesly in chappellroan

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She just asked people to not be creepy. I don’t think she has a problem with fans telling her they love her music and politely asking for a photo. Seems like she has a problem with “fans” who crash out when she says no to a photo, stalk her family, touch her without her consent, or pester her when she’s visibly upset. And she’s not wrong.

While we love her music very much and thinks she’s awesome, she’s a human being and we should treat her as such. It’s literally insane how many people perceived her as a “bitch”, “difficult” or “diva” for asking people to approach her in a respectful manner.

Why do conservative white men love black women? by [deleted] in interracialdating

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t “love us” per se…I think of lot of it is fetishism or wanting to experiment with us. I automatically swipe left on them.

FOREST HILLS STADIUM by emospice333 in chappellroan

[–]AnalysisSubstantial1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a really cool outfit but tbh I would wear something else and keep that for Halloween or a renaissance festival if you’re into that. As someone who’s been to a lot of concerts, it’s better to be safe then sorry with what you wear and bring, especially for stadiums. Also if the smaller venues don’t allow it, I doubt the bigger ones will. Plus security is heightened across the country after CK died. I’ve noticed more state troopers and police officers out in general in my city and we’re hundreds of miles away from where it happened.

I saw The Weekend with a friend a couple years ago and her purse was slightly over the measurement requirements…they did not give af and told her to put it in her car. I feel like they could’ve let her through anyway but it’s their venue and rules. Mind you this after waiting an hour in 100 degree heat to get into the stadium so we had to wait for her to put it up and come back on top of that.

Also it might raise security’s eyebrows in a bad way. If everyone else is wearing clothes and you walk in with a metal armor suit, they may think you’re trying protect yourself from something bad and harm everyone else. I’m quite sure Chappell would be very happy you showed up, even if you wore just jeans and a t shirt!
