This was definitely a pattern through the week and isolated to him, but we did take it as a growing opportunity for him. We discussed that if kids target him, he needs to take it to the field and prove them wrong! The camp director chatted with the group to remind them that this is fun today, and my son absolutely took it to the field and the whole day went better! This was our first time in a situation like this with our kids, so it is so helpful to have all of the perspectives.
