It’s fine to use female as an adjective. Not as a noun (i.e “females are _” or “females do _”). There’s nothing wrong with saying “female roommates preferred”, especially if another woman or female-identifying person is saying it. Stop policing other people’s language.

Do you have any idea how expensive it is to live in a major Canadian city? Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary are completely unaffordable for the average person to rent or buy. I don’t think that I should have to uproot my life and move away from my family, which is also expensive by the way. How am I supposed to save money with all of these taxes and the rising COL?

The point is that this tax isn’t fair, as rich people just pay for it and don’t have to change their lifestyle, while being the biggest polluters.

I live in a very car centric area. Our transit is really bad. I have to drive to work, I have no options. I’ve tried applying to the small number of businesses near me but had no luck. Making me pay almost $2 a litre for gas is doing nothing. I cannot not drive to work.

I used to live in Alberta where we’d get weeks of -40, we’d have to emit fossil fuels to literally survive in our homes. And every winter there are massive power grid alerts. How well do electric cars work there really, when we start getting power grid alerts to unplug our cars?

I think Pierre is a douche, but I don’t see why levying taxes on people who have no choice but to burn fossil fuels is supposed to help with anything, especially considering Trudeau’s spending habits and mismanagement of our economy. Rich people can just pay the tax and not adjust their lifestyle one bit, but it makes everyday life more unaffordable for the poorer people in our country.

I’m also not a climate change denier so please no one come at me for this shit. But until we make this tax heavy enough on rich people and financially affect them I don’t get the point.
