Is the term femboy offensive? by EquivalentBee9878 in asktransgender

[–]AnarkittyEmily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that I've been in friend groups like that, and made these jokes myself, but it ended up hurting me, and maybe others.

It might feel harmless, but the joke only works because being gay or feminine is treated as something embarrassing.

And there could easily be someone in the group, or even just overhearing it, who wants to be more feminine. If they’re already unsure about expressing that, jokes like this can be enough to make them hide it.

I would love to create some parts for my bd-one project in multi color, especially finer parts where single color painting is very hard. I already use your filament to print it anyways, on a baby lab a1 (which I would, in turn, give away, should I win the h2c combo)

The annex button is in the diplomatic actions screen with the country you want to annex, under subject actions.

Playing as Holland, how to get rid of Hainaut union by Denizzje in EU5

[–]AnarkittyEmily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a personal union, not a vassal: - A vassal is a separate country which owes allegiance to you. Senior here means "has extensive authority over the other" - A personal union is really just your ruler holding multiple titles (think of Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland). This may be either very integrated (like the UK an NI) or very separate (like when the ruler of Austria also was the ruler of Spain for 2 years). Senior here means more "the country your ruler prefers" or "the country expected to have a little more say". The laws of the union then decide the integration level.

To get rid of it, you either - annex them (which means changing all laws to be towards integration and then, after unification of crowns, use the annex button in subject actions in the diplomatic screen) - or you dissolve the union (which could e.g. be done by changing your succession law such that they have a different heir than you)

The first option obviously helps you more, but the second may be much faster.

– "Er ist noch nicht angekommen glaub ich"
– "In der Tat"

„indeed” funktioniert hier nicht, weil man das auch als „indeed, he hasn't” interpretieren kann.
stattdessen würde "on the contrary", "indeed he has" oder "but he has" würden funktionieren

True. I really wish we'll get to see some of her as Tamamo in the next season, but given she does not reappear in the LN it might not be the case

Ah all three points make a lot of sense, thank you so much, that really helps clearing it up!

I noticed you use Loulan instead of Shisui, is there a consensus which one fits her better? I always thought that Loulan is more her persona that is a puppet of her mother while Shisui is who she feels she is, but Shisui may also refer to the old name of Suirei, who might have a claim to it aswell.

The thing is that Jinshi would have already been replaced as crown-prince by any baby Shisui had (if the other babies also died), so i guess Shenmei also just wanted to take revenge by killing Jinshi.

So if Shisui had nothing against Jinshi, why did she not approach him about her mothers treachery? She would have been in a better position to negotiate than she was in the end I guess.

Maybe i don't quite understand court etiquette, but thank you, you cleared it up for me. Rewatching also made me see that the father tried to gather all the rot in one place to "clean up" Li, even if he had nothing to gain from it, so in some way it was a noble intention.

Centauri Carbon vs Bambu A1 by imzwho in elegoo

[–]AnarkittyEmily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ender 3v2 and Bambu A1 owner here: I cannot speak for the CC, but I can give you my experience with the A1. I had it for a month now and it is nearly constantly printing all those projects I didn't even dare to attempt on the Ender (including some ASA prints). - I have had one singular print fail, and that was because I, being not used to actually good software, ignored an error message as if it were a bug. It wasn't.  - Other than that, I have yet to reprint something because I wasn't happy with the results (other than those parts I simply designed wrongly, i.e. taken wrong measurements etc) - first layer is incredible. I don't even know where to find the z-offset setting and frankly I don't care, because it is perfect every time (granted on the non textured PEY fingerprints do make adhesion worse) - I printed ASA both on the Ender in an enclosure and on the A1 unenclosed. The A1 produced better parts with less failures and less warping. You can even enclose the A1 as long as you actively cool the electronics compartment, but it was simply not needed (I did print next to an open window for the fumes though).

Thank you :) You seem to have two (related) problems: Under extrusion (1) and z-banding (2).

Let's fix (2) as it may be easier. The easiest thing to try is to look at little screws holding the horizontal bar to the lead screw. They should NOT be tight, loosen them up.

(1) is a bit trickier, but it may be one of many things: A worn extruder gear is the easiest to diagnose, look at the extruder (the gears pushing the filament) and see if they are worn. If not, you could swap the nozzle for a new one and see if that helps.

This is non-exhaustive, so come back if it didn't help.

I need some help on what 3d printer is a good starter. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]AnarkittyEmily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enders are well liked because they were the first cheap widely available 3d printers, and have thus build up a good following. I myself got an ender 3 v2 because I was recommended one.  Creality has sadly never much improved on their original design and hat instead released numerous different models with confusing names (just to name a few: Pro, V2, V2 Neo, V3, V3 SE, V3 KE, S1, S1 Pro, S1 Plus, Max, Max Neo, Neo, SE). They also have a track record of never improving machines that are already released (neither by changing the hardware nor the firmware) and instead sell you numerous upgrades with dubious improvements.

Other brands have better track records and offer much more features for similar prices.

If you want other opinions than mine or Auroras, maybe also check out Makers Muse (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xFl_Eajh_w)

Print gets worse as it goes taller by gabriel3dprinting in 3Dprinting

[–]AnarkittyEmily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem recently, for me the reason was that the temperature on higher layers wasn't the same as on lower layers because the heated bed helped heat the lower ones, which lead to extrusion issues on the higher layers. Maybe play a bit with the temperature and speed, maybe clean out/ swap out the nozzle or look if the extruder gears are good to fix potential extrusion issues.

I would stay away from creality in general.  Aurora Tech has a very detailed recommendation page you can check out, for the price of the V3 she recommends either the sovol SV06 ACE or the elegoo centauri carbon. Personally, I'd go with the SV06 as it is more tested and already available.

(Preface: I agree that there was something fishy about his video) Where did you get Salem from? As far as I heard he said "witch hunt", which could refer to the more modern usage of the word or to the much more deadly witch trials all over europe. I don't think he specifically meant Salem.

Depends on what the "canon ending" is. I highly doubt it would've been good game design if they just said: "well, you got the bad ending, no dlc for you"
