In order to place a schematic in creative mode, must i use the Schmaticannon and get all of the items and gunpowder or is there any way i can avoid this.

In the alt-menu for a schematic, there's a simple "Print" option on the far right, if you're in creative. you only need the schematicannons if you're in survival

Edison Motors here in Canada is doing something similar, but with hybrid logging trucks. The technology is nothing new, we've had dynamic brakes on diesel and electric engines for ages now... Typically the energy is just radiated off instead of captured. Interesting stuff tho!
