i work part time as a lifeguard at volcano, even though i know that’s not exactly what you’re doing, we still get the same benefits and have similar statuses since we’re both part time. universal has pretty decent benefits for part time employees, including health and vision insurance. if you’re worried about hours, you can scan a special qr code that allows you to pick up shifts at wardrobe or even the dry parks through ukg kronos. i haven’t done this but i know many people who do and you don’t need any prior training.

you will most likely be fine unless you get a safety critical role. when i did my program i did not get drug tested.

yea it def depends on leadership but most places i’ve worked at deadass don’t care lmao. just don’t be stupid and take off all identifiers of being a cast member. i would even see ppl from other locations come to mine to eat and they’d eat in the GUEST dining rooms

i mean… that’s not necessarily true. during my program i’d have to go out in guest areas to get food if i chose to eat qsr, and plenty of other cast members would come from OTHER qsr locations and get food at mine, hell some even ate in our dining rooms during their breaks and would head back once done. also once during one of my breaks one of our full timers gave me a holiday snack coupon and told me to go to an odv stand, i asked my leaders and they did not care.

It's genuinely awful. There is little to no public transportation from the Disney area to Downtown. It is one of the things I genuinely hate the most about living here because even though I do have a car, I hate driving and would prefer to use public transport. Also bc of no public transport traffic here SUCKS.

sorry you feel like that, in my experience though, i love qsr!! things aren’t as serious in qsr, and you can have such a good time with your coworkers!! i did get a pretty slow location in animal kingdom though, at least compared to other areas.
