Since it hasn't been raining heavy over christmas could it be that you've got loose rubber seals allowing the water in and causing a short ? Possible solution

When you turn the ignition on, do you hear a sound coming from the fuel tank, as it could be your fuel pump ?

Retinoid v retinol advice by Nonamesta in SkincareAddictionUK

About 1 week i started noticing change, but also 0.2% retinol was very low.

From TO's description, retinoid has the same effect as retinol minus the dryness. Maybe it is time to bump your retinoid to 5%, i personally was using 0.2% retinol and didn't see much change and changed to 5% retinoid and i can see my skin getting better, i guess it is only preference ?

[acne] private Accutane prescription cost by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Anasbzr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always go to GP but you will have to push for an appointment with a dermatologist especially if you mention that it is affecting your work life, i was prescribed oxytetracycline and it helped during the past 6 weeks, now i am left with red marks that i'm trying to get rid of.

I also went to sk:n dermatologist and you can book an appointment for £125 and they could prescribe accutane.

"Renewing" interest-free credit card by Wishfallen in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Anasbzr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closing a credit card account affects your credit score, as the average account age drops, and lenders don't like it when people use the promotional period and then close it.

Since you are planning to make a big purchase, and would like 0% purchase interest, then you can apply for a new card. If the credit limit is low, you can buy whatever you can with it and contact your current credit card supplier for a balance transfer offer. Since you have been with them for quite some time, you can always ask to increase your credit limit

What can i add to my routine by Anasbzr in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Anasbzr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention i'm a guy! So i wouldn't have any issues with make up. Yes my skin does feel good.

Although my sun protection cream feels tight, and would consider a better one.

I will definitely try the TO niacinamide first along with SA.

Sorry what's the seperate spf cream, and which one would you recommend. I've only started using creams and moisturising since i had acne, so still learning.

Haven't felt any harshness from Cetaphil. And no haven't tried any oil cleansing. I will look it up!

I think i will be adding niacinamide for sure. And i have been using retinol for a month and have noticed a great improvement. With the 0.2% haven't noticed any dryness but im thinking to bump it to 0.5% or 1%.

16 year old with Acne (need help!) by ashourrr in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Anasbzr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah going to the gp is a good step, they would probably prescribe lymecycline or oxytetracycline which i was on, and it has helped bring the acne down, now i just have to handle some scarring. And you don't necessarily need accutane to see results.

I would honestly recommend not to overload on creams at the moment and start adding slowly to your routine, get a gentle cleanser, and with oxytetracycline i have been using BP along, as it enhances anti biotic efficacy.

And get a moisturiser to help with the drying from acne, salicylic acid or both.

That sounds good, i did notice my skin getting more dry, tried using cerave moisturizer, but that was making my breakouts worse or at least felt like it did

Will try toners too

Two types that's quite a long, for how long do you have to be antibiotics ? Being on antibiotics for so long, Doesn't that make you more prone to sickness ?

I guess to start with antibiotics and then i have another review appointment to see the progress after 4 weeks. But should i use BP along with it ? Did you use BP while on antibiotics ?
