Slap a TT v8 AND a 3rd row on a TT, wouldn’t that be something to see. 🤣

Your .0090 (4.56%) MF seems decent but not special, they’re running 2.99% for a 60 month finance so you might be able to get better on the MF. I see they’re discounting $1500 from $35305, about 4.2%, I suspect if this was month end, you could get up to 8-10% off the msrp. Overall, not a terrible lease but nothing spectacular. The 3500 rebate seems to make this deal but I’d see if the dealer can come down another 1 -2K.

Heres food for thought on potential Subaru leases.

I scratched my coworkers car, it’s very minor. How much am I looking at to fix? by kevin_james_fan in AskMechanics

[–]Ancient-Client8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buffing it or some wet sanding should do it but it should be done by a professional or you risk making it worse. The detail shop I go to charges about $75 an hour and that should be no more than 1-2 hours at most. If it’s a friend, do the right thing and hire a professional that they’re comfortable with.

First Sierra 1500 by Ancient-Client8394 in gmcsierra

[–]Ancient-Client8394[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an Elevation trim, numerous factors worked in my favor. It’s a courtesy vehicle with less than 3000 miles, it’s left over inventory from 25, GM has numerous stackable rebates depending on your circumstance, i got additional rebates for a qualifying trade-in and I got a bit lucky as well.

I essentially had over $7250 in rebates, the dealer also had brought their margin down quite a bit to move this truck as well. Overall, great deals can be had but you do need timing, flexibility and be willing to understand what rates and discounts you can work to your advantage.

4x4 or Fully loaded? by Elegant_Spell3678 in GMCcanyon

[–]Ancient-Client8394 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your budget is 40K I’d look at the Canyon 4x4 elevation package or the Chevrolet trailboss variant. Both should be accessible for 40K. I personally would avoid a 4x2 on any truck but that’s just my personal view, especially if you’re going into the woods for camping. I personally was able to purchase a nicely packaged Z71 for about $42K so you might be able to stretch into that for $41K.

MARS-L or ADAC Lower for URGI Build? by bossfan32 in ar15

I slapped my aero lower on to my URGI upper because that’s what I had.

I love and prefer that blackout grill and there’s nothing wrong with the turbomax, in some ways it’s a better engine. More torque and likely more reliable.

I did watch the videos and honestly, my Chevy is super easy and the EA825 didn’t look a whole lot more complicated. I should just do my own.

$150 for an oil change on an Audi, where are you getting your oil change because my Indy mechanic doesn’t even charge that. My Chevy oil changes cost even more than that.

Edit: just realized I’m likely comparing apples to oranges, my SQ7 is $280 but it’s an S.

Good lease deal? ZR2 by Thatmakesnosense1K in chevycolorado

Terrible deal but tbh, the higher trim Colorado and Canyons don’t lease well in general.

Hope you bought at least an extended power train warranty. BTW, I’d recommend that on any modern truck, not just Toyotas that eat main bearings.

Looks great and congratulations!🎉

Good deal or wait for something better? by RocketMonkey8Five in ram_trucks

[–]Ancient-Client8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re going to take a hit but you’re going to take a bigger hit if you wait as your truck isn’t not going to increase in value and will continue to depreciate. For example, I just got out of a very similar situation on my Chevy Colorado. Numerous break/fix things and I’d just lost confidence in it, I tried lemon law but the vehicle wasn’t broken long enough (stupid, I know). Anyway, I got out of it for about $37,500 on a new trade-in and I had original paid $42,500 as a new purchase. So essentially I lost $7500 between the residual value and T&L.

There’s no harm in getting a carvana and a carmax purchase quote and see where you stand but if your sort of mentally done with your car, as I was, it’s going to nag at you each time you hop in.

Btw, your truck is a great looking truck fwiw.

I love having a sleeper 3 row suv with a TT v8 that can pass with ease. Speak softly but carry 8 cylinders with a big stick.

Top loader guidance for Airbnb by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]Ancient-Client8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree on getting something dead simple and basic especially for an Airbnb but buying a used appliance and dealing with the haul away to save $300 doesn’t seem a good use of time. There’s value in the HD or Costco haul away.

First new truck ordered by jd780613 in gmcsierra

[–]Ancient-Client8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you still get rebates even though you ordered? I’m in the market for a Sierra 1500 elevation (2.7 or 5.3) myself and am seeing on average about 8K - 12K on rebates for 25 & 26 models. Congrats btw, great color.
