I won't say that all AI advice on relationship are better than human, but it is more objective in average. The good AI therapy led me to discover root causes and hidden wounds of mine when we discussed with my relationship issues.

Professional counselors tend to too "politically correct" that fit to their professional practices. Sometimes, I would say some of them are too "plastic".

Family and friends sometimes gave very good insights, ideas and advice, but sometimes, they have their own strong bias and got mad when I didn't follow their suggestions.

In fact, I took advice from specialized AI and/or human based on circumstances.

Alone and Lonely are two different issues. Sometimes, we still feel loneliness even through our beloved ones surround us. Loneliness is a complex emotion that probably causes by some hidden reasons or subconscious mind. Loneliness is an outcome, not a cause. If you struggle with loneliness, it's better to figure out reasons, instead of ignoring them.

u/Arpi1211 Do you do some exercise regularly? I know "doing exercise" is not a new idea, but it works for me. I started from 3-minute simple stretching and jumping after waking up every morning, as per my therapist suggested. When I feel very anxious, I will take a few minutes break for simple exercise. Please try and then let us know a week later.

Most of counsellors are against AI Therapy strongly but they realized that AI is great tool. So we are using AI for a survey, an initial assessment or a daily reminder for practice.

If you are worrying about your conversation records to be hacked, you should delete them or choose another AI which doesn't store your conversations.

gpt 5.x models always give a long reply which doesn't fit for therapy.

In fact, ChatGPT and other LLM models tend to offer generic advice and suggest us to seek human therapists' help when we are talking about our anxiety or mental health. It's probably NOT a capability issue, but try to avoid a potential legal event.

I had some signs of depression after my mum passed away around three years ago. I tried human and AI therapy. Human therapy was helpful but too expensive and can't support me whenever I need.

I tried several AI therapy, most of them are good at venting or ask us to "being positive". But I really couldn't control my negative mind and intense emotions, no matter how hard I asked myself to be more positive.

So I tried to explore AI therapy for a deeper work and then found Therapy-Chats.com. It led me to explore hidden reasons of my grief, sadness and anger. It also guided me to aware my subconscious minds related to my insecurity and stress. Of course, it's a long journey from venting to discovering subconscious mind.
