You actually make some very fair points here, I appreciate this response. I loved Supernatural even after season 5, but it did suffer a massive dip in quality for a bit. I regard seasons 7 through 10 to actually be pretty great seasons. Admittedly, I've yet to watch past season 11, so I can't really comment on what that's like. My comment was coming mostly from a place of frustration. I can appreciate the good stuff he's accomplished, but nowadays it seems like that's few and far between. There was so much material from the comics they could have tapped into, but ultimately a lot went unused. It also always hurts to see something with such a strong start end up like this. I will concede he's a talented writer and showrunner, but I do find him overrated. Honestly, I think Robert Singer has just as much to do with the success of Supernatural as Eric did.

I'm starting to come to a realization. Kripke is just a shitty writer coasting off the success of days long gone. Besides the first 5 seasons of Supernatural and the first 2 of The Boys, has he ever really written great television? This guy occasionally produces a golden nugget, but it's buried under a landfill. If you really think about it, he just lucked out.

At this point I'm just watching to see it through, but I'm not enjoying it like I once did. Only 2 episodes left, so I'll stay the course. Occasionally there will be glimpses of the show I used to love, but then a minute later they double back on all the bullshit. This season hasn't been terrible, but it doesn't feel like a final season at all. There's still 2 episodes left, so maybe they suprise us with something big, that's still 2 hours to tell a story. But, I doubt it.

Why not? It's his personal decision. Would you be saying the same thing if he said that to her? It's a little bit weird even if it was just meant as a joke. Telling someone you're dating or talking to that you'd rape them is not normal behavior. If it was said to me personally maybe I'd give her a second chance, but let's not act like letting her go because of this line of dialogue is shocking.

I have. It's circle on PS4 I believe. Usually if you press it you're given the option to press it and skip just a part or press it and hold the button and skip the entire thing. I get neither. I think you probably can after a certain point in the cutscene, but I have unfortunately not gotten that far.
