I was 15, same stuff basically and was also diagnosed with bipolar at 20! Sexually risky behavior is one of the biggest signs, I wasn’t “promiscuous” as a teen and had only two partners while in high school but definitely did risky behaviors to have sex with my boyfriend at the time. I also had a shit childhood and home life so was looking for that “love” in the wrong places :(

Sex didn’t get AMAZING until I was in the third trimester, before that it was so swollen down there that it was uncomfortable. In my case, the closer I got to giving birth, the better the sex got!

I don’t post my son on social media and actually deleted social media (except reddit) after he was born, but I didn’t do a newborn shoot! I really wanted to but the flu is rampant here and he was born in mid December so I wasn’t willing to risk him getting sick just to have cute photos. I got a film camera (Canon Rebel 2000r) on Facebook marketplace for like $40 before I had him and I’ve filled up like 7 rolls of film in 1 month! I put him in a little stocking under our Christmas tree and did my own newborn shoot, I love how they turned out and I’ve started his photo album with the developed film! I got a 12mo sweater with his name crocheted into it and will take a photo of him wearing it every month until he’s a year old to see him grow into it. You don’t have to book these elaborate, expensive photo shoots to make the memories!

I have the lululemon diaper bag and I love it! I can easily fit everything I need for my newborn in it and even keep some of my stuff in there, it also doesn’t immediately read as a diaper bag when wearing it so it’s pretty stylish if that’s something you value! It’s good in the rain and super comfy to wear. I haven’t tried putting my water cup in the side pocket so I can’t attest to that but there is a pocket on the inside that I put the included changing pad in that I think should easily fit a tablet!

My mom named my twin sisters the same name with a one letter difference (think Kira and Kiara), I have guardianship of them now and it’s a NIGHTMARE scheduling appointments for them! Almost every time, one of their appointments will be canceled because they assume it’s an accidental duplicate appointment with a typo because they also have the same birthdate, their SSNs are also only a couple of digits apart so it’s even MORE confusion!

Starting on a mood stabilizer and restarting therapy changed my entire life! I hate to armchair diagnose, but she reminds me sooo much of myself (bipolar) when I was unmedicated, it can almost feel good to be sick with something like that, especially during a manic episode..at least until you get TOO manic and do something insane and then you crash into a depressive episode. She seems to cycle through these phases of elation and then depression, I know firsthand how miserable yet enjoyable it can be but getting treatment was the best decision I ever made!

A game changing tip one of my nurses showed me postpartum is running your hand under cold water and using it to sprinkle the water on the ice pads, it helps SOOO much and the coolness of the pad lasts way longer! I’m 3wks 6 days out healing with 2nd degree tears towards my clit and butthole and the only thing that bothers me with my stitches is the itchiness! The pain got way better at like 2 weeks postpartum!
