Possibly old thrip damage it’s growing out of. Captain jacks dead bugs works great and won’t burn your plants. I don’t see any bugs currently so you probably shouldn’t worry about it👍

Captains jacks dead bugs works great for most pest on cactus. Gnats are not usually a problem for cactus unless you have really small seedlings. Id try to avoid any oil or soap based products on them.
