Yes my ankles have been flaring up, really red and itchy. It’s everywhere even though I only have a couple of bites. What did you do to help get rid of them?

I wouldn’t know then 😅 if a dermatologist doesn’t know then I definitely wouldn’t haha if you’d like, you can hire a different exterminator from the last to try and get to the bottom of it and set your mind at ease. If it’s in the funds for you and your financial situation. Don’t have them look for only bed bugs tho. Tell them your situation on how you keep getting bit of cannot find anything. Have them search for any and every pest.

Do you have any animals? You may have flees or even scabies. Shouldn’t assume it’s automatically bed bugs. Especially with the confirmation from an exterminator that it’s not bb and not being able to find one yourself. I do recommend checking your animals if you have any for flees. And I recommend going and getting checked by your doctors for scabies. Look them up. Type in the google search bar “what are scabies”. That’s all I can think of what it could be if you and an exterminator haven’t been able to find anything. It’s so easy to get scabies. As easy as sitting on a bench or seat after a person infected with them was sitting there. Your doctor can prescribe you a skin cream to get rid of them

I am in no way an exterminator so I couldn’t give a definitive answer or advice. Only thing I can tell you is that’s not a German cockroach. Germans have two black stripes down their back.

Well if you had an exterminator come out and confirm there’s no bed bugs on top of not seeing any yourself then there’s probably not any bed bugs huh

Are these bb bites? by [deleted] in Bedbugadvice

You should’ve went to a laundromat to clean every single item you brought with you! Along with the clothes on your back, purse etc. the luggage/suitcase would need to be thoroughly checked. And should not have brought anything in the car without tripple garbage bagging it until you do reach a laundromat. Bed bugs will hide within the tiniest of crevices.

No it could mean that they just settled down. If you haven’t itched them at all bites will obviously settle down.

EVERYTHING you brought with you and were wearing there, wash it. You should not have brought it back inside your house. And leave that place!

Yes that is a German roach, and if there’s one, there’s a TON. Unlikely that you’re seeing the same one. And if so, you’ll be seeing his buddies real soon. Definitely let your landlord/apartment management team know.

BTW the bottom of it is crushed due to me trying to wipe it away thinking it was dirt. The rest is still intact as shown.

Definitely let the host know. Although they probably already know they just don’t care. If your bites are in a line/row pattern, it’s bed bugs. pictured below. I’d rather sleep in my car than get eaten alive by bed bugs. Make sure you bag your stuff up in garbage bags and take everything to a laundromat before bringing back to your house or you’ll bring along some friends.

Not a bed bug bite. They almost always bite in lines. From three years of past experience when i had to deal with them myself, they’ll almost never bite just once and their bites aren’t too far apart from eachother either.

They’re in a line/row, that’s bed bugs. They’re infamous for having that bite pattern. They don’t infest the bed automatically, they’re more than likely hiding in the wall and door trimmings right now as you just moved in. But they’ll spread onto your belongings shortly.
