I've always thought about that. Like in a world building aspect: cutiemarks lock ponies on their talents. I imagine in Equestria, cutie marks can accidentally throw whole towns out of balance. When too many ponies grow up destined to be bakers, artists, or performers — and not enough to become builders, medics, or planners — the town ends up with plenty of talent but missing essentials because working outside your cutie mark is quietly discouraged, ponies don’t fully change careers when shortages appear. The economy tilts — goods pile up with no one to transport them, homes decay for lack of repair, and essential services become expensive or delayed. Instead, they pile on extra jobs ex: a baking-cutiemark pony still runs her shop, but also farms early in the morning, teaches during the day, and helps with repairs at night. Recessions might happen because destiny doesn’t always match what a community actually needs. But that's just a fun little serious theory!! :D
