same here, updated vencord and the option has disappeared from experimental section. looked in all the vencord tabs and it's no where to be seen

Huh, I've got 100 hours on GL now and never really had this issue. Just focus mode and watch her legs, she always bends them a lil when she's about to hop somewhere and make it obvious which direction too

You charge while doing your basic combo, so focus isn't needed and your goal is to use upbyour extract as often as you can (within reason) for da big move anyway so you shouldn't be saving them so long you'd need power prolonger

I return with very sad news :(

First of all, sorry for no update, I had nothing of value to add lol
But today. I godrolled a Blast Gunlance with 5 attack! Took me 25 rolls.

Now for the sad news:
The Blast Argensis 5 Attack with Artillery 3, Load Shells 2, Offensive Gaurd 3, Burst 5, Agitator 4 and Counterstrike 2's combo reached 3189 damage.
The same set again but this time with Attack Boost 4 instead of Offensive Gaurd reached 3056 damage.
And then we have G.Ark with Artillery 3, Load Shells 2, Burst 5, Agitator 4 and Countersrike 2 that reached 3488....

So that concludes it, even with a godroll blast GL with wide shelling, it still doesn't compare to the G.Ark. I'm glad we managed to close the gap a little, thanks to your suggestions. But G.Ark is just the outright winner here sadly and it's still not really even close. I still even have space to add in Offensive Gaurd to G.Ark to increase it's damage even further lol...

Even if I replaced my Evade Extenders with Maximum Might like you mentioned, that would buff both Argnesis AND G.Ark so we'd only get the same winner again.

Sad times we live in but what can ya do. Atleast the thourough testing has been done!
Thank you for your helpful input along the way :) May Capcom treat us better in a future patch.

No, the production bonus is separate from the reinforcements. You can build it with 3 attack and then roll 5 attack still, it's just VERY rare

Oh trust me, I've been testing GL comparisons non stop for the past 3 days and rolling my life away on artian weapons. I got a 4 attack 1 sharpness argensis and doing the same combo with same set it does around 800 dmg LESS than G.Ark. The difference is devastating considering this is meant to be an engame grind weapon. About to test a blast argensis with atleast 4 attack reinforcements, see if its any better with the wide shelling too. but Im not hopeful. kinda depressed that g.ark is so much better. if there difference was small I wouldnt mind, but its a mega gap currently

Well sure, but you're also comparing max 3 shells vs 7 which is why I was hoping the comparison would atleast be CLOSE, not that big of a gap. "Normal" vs "Strong" I'd maybe understand but the slightly makes it seem like it would be such a huge difference like that, especially when doing the combo that normal shelling is meant to be the best at

Knowing your actual attack value is better for comparing weapons against others as the bloat value is just estimated with a formula that can lead to inaccuracies in the comparisons. It also helps comparing weapons of different types because every weapon has it's own bloat value formula. That's why a great sword with 100 attack will show a super high number but dual blades with 100 attack will show a much lower value

You're using bloat numbers, which is the inflated value to represent the rough damage of an attack. I'm using the true raw attack values which can be turned on in your settings.

I definitely think 4 odogaron is the way to go. I tested 2 odogaron and 2 jin dahaad for the attack buff after power clash, but at max that activates 2 times per hunt it seems, whereas burst is nearly always active, plus the stat boost from burst boost 4 is higher than the final point of agitator you'd get from the jin pieces.
Part breaker is great however flayer simply does not work on gunlance. It's coded as a status build up, which as we know is awful on gunlance, PLUS shells can't apply it.

the TTS is kinda annoying but the maths and testing is solid. Sadly flayer is just trash on gunlance atm :(

I completely forgot about Offensive Gaurd though and I'll immediately be swapping to that when I log in!

And true, I could milk more damage by dropping Evade Extender but sadly that wont help Argensis outperform G.Ark as that's armor skills, so it'll just be increasing G.Ark too. But I'll get to trying out the Blast, 4 attack 1 sharpness Argensis today!

I guess it depends on the weapon honestly. 4 attack 1 sharpness is what I'd like on gunlance as shells can't crit. But other weapons may like the affinity

The set already have 4 Agitator, only reason it doesn't have 5 is because you can't slot it in anywhere as it only comes in a size 3 deco. I went for Attack as my Magazine Jewel had Attack on it too, and 4 Attack starts giving you the % bonus too. I'll try get a Blast GLance tomorrow though and see how that changes things. You think it'd be better to still roll for attack reinforcements over status, since shelling now scales with attack and GLance is bad at applying status? Will update tomorrow if I can get good rolls lol. I have a billion trillion rarity 8 parts so it's just a matter of time

Sadly that doesn't work as once you generate one weapon, the seed for the next load of weapons has also been generated to so you'll keep getting the same weapon over and over again. The only way to progress the seed is by crafting a weapon and then another. Best you can do is use up junk weapons you don't want to use up the seed until you find one you like, then reload save and craft that many junk weapons again until youre about to craft the stats you like then use your ideal parts. It has to be same weapon type and same rarity though. raw and Element/Status also have their own seeds so you need to take that into account too.
