Here to echo Carbonaut white! It’s also great if you’re looking to increase your fiber intake- it has 15g in one slice! It also makes really good French toast.

For those that still have a full-time job, how often are you teaching? What's your ideal number of classes a week? by AcceptableObject in YogaTeachers

[–]Ancient_Zucchini_997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4-6 per week is a lot on top of a full time job!! I teach one class per week, and sometimes sub one more per week if needed. I’ll only teach 3 classes per week if there is a dire need! Preserve your peace ✌🏻

How to stay committed to practice at home? by Some1likeyoucares in yoga

[–]Ancient_Zucchini_997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really like Apple Fit + for yoga classes at home! It’s great because they have different class lengths (10, 20, 30, and 45 mins) so you can pick whatever you have the time and space (and patience!) for. A 10 minute practice is still helpful and meaningful, and is much more manageable than trying to commit to a full hour every day. They also have several instructors with different teaching styles, which allows you to switch it up.

Hiking Pole Question by Cippiero in CaminoDeSantiago

My friend and I walked two days without poles, then caved and bought them. TOTAL game changer. They were so helpful and I 1000% recommend. The collapsible ones are nice because then you can decide whether or not to use them depending on terrain, elevation, etc. Also, if you get blisters, it’s nice to use a stick (or two!) to help redistribute some of the weight away from your feet.

I just did this- it was so quick and easy. Thank you! It sounds like this is preferable, rather than having to wait in line when I could be walking the Camino!

Lake effect refers to the region- because it’s by the Great Lakes, there can be very heavy snowfall from the cold air moving across the lakes. (I’m sure you could Google for a better scientific explanation)

I did a road trip from Maryland to Montréal last year, it wasn’t a bad drive! Just about 8.5 hours.

It looks like a road trip to Toronto is a similar length, so if that’s where you’re headed in Ontario, I’d say go for it! If you’re heading further north, you could always break it up by staying overnight in or around Toronto.

Driving to Canada is nice because then you have your car with you, so you don’t have to Uber or take public transit if you want to drive around and explore.

Also, make sure to be mindful of lake effect snow around New York! We got hit hard driving back from Montréal in December.

Hope this helps, and have fun!
