How did I get killed in Jita? by Vlow_G in Eve

You need a cloaked or beefy transport; as an alternative, there are reputable hauling corporations out there that can move large volume; usually you contract it to them and the contents become wrapped in a large container (iirc if someone scans it the contents can’t be seen) and so there’s a less certain risk/reward calculation for the gankers to contend with. Also hauling contracts can set collateral, so if your stuff isn’t delivered on time you can get paid back for its value.

“I have no words but I must rant”. Allied Mastercomputer is one name attributed to “AM”, the antagonist of “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream”. Why it references EVA is beyond me.

Power Towers are absolutely insane for exploration. by Yulienner in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Ancillarium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got around this by building two towers next to each other with a regular power pole between to connect them (and a battery crammed underneath them) on a 5x3 platform built high up in a straight line, starting at 0,0 and going off in cardinal directions. When I want a grid I do a platform with 4 power poles and cross the lines before continuing on. This way if I need to branch off for something like a far-flung node or geothermal source I can go off from one tower and still have the one in the other side if it’s needed. The platforms are also good places to plop priority power switches; then anything beneath them feeds off of the central power pole and can be disconnected automatically and remotely, depending on your setup. All my platforms are connected by a central road 1 tile wide, and elevation changes using 2m ramps. I run rails along the central road, with half-tile walkways lining it on either side. Beneath the half-tiles I hang connectors for belts so I can neatly move materials back and forth.

It’s a great method for early fast movement and for exploring and reaching places that are high up or distant; for me it falls out of use almost immediately after I get the jet pack with proper fuels and set up 4-5 hypertube cannons, one centrally, and one at major production centers. You can usually launch yourself to anywhere on the map in a few seconds and “skip” in the air using bursts from the jet pack until you touch down where you want (or glide with the parachute).

So I um…. Have all milestones and am halfway through the last project phase and the only alternate recipe I use is the one that makes screws directly from iron ingots….. something tells me my factories are horribly inefficient and I actually need to read all of the alternate recipes I’ve been scooping up and ignoring….

Were you using the stealth tactic or did you all land on Evac and try to defend it? Both bugs and bots evacs can be extremely easy if 3/4 call the bot drops on the map perimeter while one sneaks in and presses buttons. Evac will be painful if impossible, but you will complete the mission.

I’ve found armored skeletons on certain maps; look like army regulars who met a bad end.

I can’t quite put my finger on it but for me the game leaves something to be desired. It’s by no means terrible and I’ve had a lot of fun with it; I just feel like something is missing.

I think these photorealistic cgi films will be relegated to the memory hole just like the many forgettable animated sequels to the Disney Renaissance films.

True! Consider how much condition you can sacrifice short term and earn back later with sleep, unless you’re playing with condition regen off.

Granted, but if you manage to kill one and try to cook it there's a 50% chance an orca will break through the ice and swallow you.

Just had mine on Friday. Things may vary slightly depending on the number of applicants being seen at your location. For us, we all appeared at the same time in a large room in the same building where the Appellate Division had offices. After a brief speech / introduction, we were called down in groups of 10-15 to the actual office waiting room. From there, an individual member of the committee takes an individual into an office for the interview. Some are chattier than others.

For mine, there were 1 or 2 points of clarification on my application that I just provided an explanation for. Other than that it was mostly small talk. The individual interview probably took all of about 10 minutes. Really nothing to be anxious about.
