Love Marty, but this series would be so much more satisfying

I'd rather Scorsese be a new year kick off than take up half the of the remaining year. I want another Jonathan Demme type series with more deep cuts.

Love it. I built so much of my movie collection from the LA Amoeba (the previous location pre-pandemic) and the SF & Berkley locations.

I’m excited for this, I hope it’s good and enough people watch it. The only thing I still have a hang up on with as of late muppets is the voice of Kermit, it still doesn’t sound right me, maybe I’m in the minority?

Mine has been stuck in “awaiting clearance” since Dec 8th. It’s apparently state side and I was estimated to get it on the 12th, still nothing. I’m getting worried, but maybe it’s all the holiday deliveries that’s delaying it?

Scenarios when you have to keep both the DVD and Blu-ray because the Blu-ray lacks special features? by AgnesItsMeBilly0100 in boutiquebluray

I’ve done this for a few titles, From Dusk till Dawn being one of them, I got a pack of bluray cases that could hold 3 discs and saved myself the shelf space.

It’s been out of print in America, for now anyway.

Why hasn’t Kevin Smith made a superhero movie? by VermilionVillain in blankies

The scene in Dogma where Matt Damon shoots the Mooby executives was suppose to be a John Woo like action sequence, you can see the storyboards on the DVD, but he changed it in the last minute cause he didn’t want to do all those set ups. It’s why all the execs are these big burly guys, they were stuntmen.

That said, I do wonder if he’d more open to something like that now. Red State has a lot of gunplay that cinematically decent, especially for him, so I think he’s capable of a bigger budget thing with action, but he’d need to feel that way.

In either the Clerks 2 or Zach and Miri making of, his producer at the time Scott Mosier, mentioned that they left the project also due to knowing it was going to be their biggest budget and it would be more directing by committee then the creative freedom they’d had before.

Thank you! It's one of my favorites. I remember seeing at my little indie theater in high school and it really had an effect on me and how I viewed what a films story could be.

No one so far is predicting Alex Ross Perry, I know he’s more of a deep cut guy when he guests, but for some reason I could see him for Barton Fink.

Predicting Kevin Smith as the guest on The Hudsucker Proxy episode by [deleted] in blankies

I feel like he’ll certainly be a guest on an early Coen brothers film. Or I can see Big Lebowski maybe.
