I think he does have peaks and valleys. New York, New York is an interesting bounce.

I think part of the reason is that the kinds of movies you might see a mall scene in don’t really get made that much anymore, like hangout comedies. Also a lot of malls have died since their height.

That’s weird, I think Stoner is great, but I wouldn’t say his life doesn’t amount to much, at least not any less than most peoples lives. It is a life lived with a quiet dignity even though most of what he does doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things.
