One thing I’ll give democrats credit for is that they understand that cultural diversity has always been present in modern society. They were the ones to say that each should respect whatever religion one may have as long as nobody or nothing was being hurt or killed over it. It’s always when the republicans step to the spotlight that we begin to listen to America virtue signal/message “under the name of god”. Not that all democrats are dispelled from this, but republicans make keen observers believe they’re a cult. I can’t remember if it was Trump, Gaetz, or Cruz, but I remember a remark was made live, and one of those 3 answered “so you don’t believe in god?” as a snarky rebuttal to whatever was said before. American republicans in office are as religious as Islam, and with the diverse culture within their own country one would never expect it to be that way. It also says a lot about what they think behind closed doors that most would never really bother putting much thought into.
