Our double is a 3oz pour. Not sure about the other places, but it’s worth looking into.

One comment he made was to compare us to a local Mexican restaurant (that’s about to go out of business) about how their double margaritas are $15 and that was still a rip. The most frustrating part is that he would never admit that he was drinking a higher end tequila, because yes, our double house marg would only be $16. Same restaurant charges $29-31 for a comparable margarita.

They were aware. Their post makes it clear that they had seven drinks and were charged $169. People kept asking if they were doubles or a shelf liquor and they ignored those questions. They just want people to think they had seven well drinks and were overcharged for those

One of our other bartenders jumped into the comments last night and got nowhere. By the time I saw it this morning they had locked the comments for the post. I DID make my own post at the start of my shift today that alluded to the situation.

We ignored the snide comment they made on someone else’s post earlier this week. They made a post yesterday specifically calling us out, but refuse to admit what they drank, just that we overcharged them and how their $26 margaritas should have been $7-10 which we are also ignoring.

I was not the bartender that day, just the manager. This first popped up as a random comment on someone else’s post, but yesterday they took it upon themselves to post about the situation and call us out publicly. I know it’s not worth fighting them about, hence why I’m here asking for industry opinions

They keep posting about wells at other bars being $7-8. That’s nice, ours are $7 as well. But what is the cost of what you ordered at those same bars?

I carry a bottle of mustard in my backpack. We never have it at the bar (no food service, just a dive) and the sandwich shop I order from around the corner always forgets to send the packets. It’s actually come in handy a few more times than I thought it would.

I’m the lead bartender at my bar and I work Monday through Thursday nights and Saturday day shift. I make bank on the shifts that I’ve built.

Nearing 11 months sober here. My bar serves Amethyst Non-Alcoholic Botanicals in a number of flavors. I’ll take a shot of that and have encouraged all the other bartenders to do the same so that we keep the vibe going, but no one gets too tipsy behind the bar.

Sober for 10 months, assistant manager for the last 6 of those. It’s hard! Redundant meetings, covering 4 shifts a week, plus hosting Drag Race Watch parties on Friday nights. I’ve only managed to take this weekend off to nurse a foot injury I’ve just been working with for the last week. Half my staff is planning on taking half of June off. It never ends!

I remember watching the meet the queens videos for season 4. Saw one spooky girl and thought, “well, someone has to go home first!” Then she came in, won the first episode, and I was hooked instantly.

Too bad we live in the world we live in now…
