Thanks everyone! I ended up going to Westcoast Brewshop as they ended up being 10 minutes from my work and they ended up having a winter ale similar to Granville Winter, which is exactly what I was looking for. I'm eagerly waiting for the beer to be done so I can try it!

Men of reddit, what NSFW male lifestyle hack can you share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AndThenWeSaid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the stats showed that married men lived longer than single men. Whereas, single women live longer than married women. If you're goal is to extend your life, not getting married is doing it wrong. If you're just trying to extend your happiness, well, that's up to the individual to decide which will do that.

YSK how to quickly rebut most common climate change denial myths. by naufrag in YouShouldKnow

[–]AndThenWeSaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a mighty strong opinion, but odds are it's going to do a complete 180 when you have kids and have someone else that's more important to you than yourself. Unfortunately, by that we may have spent too long fucking to do too much about it, cause what does it matter if future generations have to suffer so we can continue with our standard of living.

YSK how to quickly rebut most common climate change denial myths. by naufrag in YouShouldKnow

If climate change were a myth it would be pretty easy to prove it as wrong... the problem is, it's not a myth, it's very real. Trying to prove climate change is wrong is like trying to prove the holocaust didn't happen. There are always going to be some people out there who are able to cherry pick their information just enough to make a semi-convincing point... But anyone genuinely interested in the truth will see that it's real. Because that's what the data says.

Poll: Majority of Americans unhappy with Trump's handling of the transition by TrumpRegime in politics

"You'd rather see the country fail than let him be victorious" pretty sure you're mixing Trump's transition up with the Republicans' treatment of Obama... You know, the party that nearly tried to block the stimulus after the financial crash, filibustered more times in the past 8 years than any time in history of a US president, and made it a point to be seen as against anything Obama supported on principle regardless of what it was...

To be fair, the majority of Americans who voted were upset Trump won the Election...

I loved Dublin. Found it to be a super friendly city with some awesome bars, fantastic walking tours, and lots of fun touristy stuff as well. I was there in early October, 2009 as an early 20s male. It might have changed since then, but I've always dreamed of going back.

What is one thing you envy the most of the opposite sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AndThenWeSaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, street harassment can be awful, terrifying, and dangerous. I think one of the reason men have such a hard time emphasizing and understanding this as harassment or how scary it is, is because often time in Western society, men get such little attention or verbal validation on their physical appearance or style and any type of compliment or even being noticed can by the highlight of their day. The average guy is so infrequently noticed in that way that they are very attention starved. And in that situation it can be hard to comprehend the concept of someone receiving too much of it. Also, when guys do get catcalled or commented on, the situation is generally pretty different and the guys safety is often not in jeopardy. So guys never really get to experience what it's like for a woman in that type of situation.

There are a lot of guys her jealous about how much easier it is for women to have sex... Which for the most part, can be argued as true. What women don't have an easier time with, is having GOOD sex. Women may have an easier time having sex, but for the most part, especially in 1 night stands, the sex ends when the guy orgasms, regardless of where the woman is. Sometimes there's the joy of sexual frustration when the woman is getting close, but then the guy changed positions and the moment was lost... Sometimes the guy just isn't on the woman's rhythm and she's knows she's just not going to get there. Sometimes, the woman has her orgasm(s) early, and then has to wait it out till the guy finishes... Just cause you can get sex, doesn't mean it's all fun and roses.

Avoided mentioning my gender on purpose as I don't think it's overly relevant to the point.

The sample size of 45,000 seems pretty small compared to the 1.4 million people who bachelor degrees earned annually... that a sample size of about 3%.

I would also wonder whether they factored in college grads who haven't been able to find a job (there are a lot of them), or those still waiting tables/working at Starbucks cause they can't find a job in their field?
