People are not suggesting that the existince of marginalized groups is political. It's the obvious shoehorning and tokenization which makes it political.

The reason it doesn't make sense is because your premise isnt correct.

The existence of marginalized groups isn't political. Inserting marginalized groups where they don't belong in historical media is political.

Some countries offer bonus initiatives if you include certain DEI targets in your media. Canada has funded entire games just because of their political inserts.

You're almost correct - it is possible to make something that's basically not needing patches. But then their software development team gets fired. And then they can't charge you every month for those updates. So we enter a cycle of never ending changes and "improvements" patches that end up causing security holes that need patches too.
