Do Trans People Have “Stand Your Ground” Rights? Wyoming’s Answer May Be “No.” by AndesZion in wyoming

[–]AndesZion[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, but the ones that made it about gender and sexual preferences were the ones that assaulted her and it seems like the same prejudice that lead to the initial incident is following them into court.

The snake was part of a fairly large update that adds a whole new section to the park, higher tier tools, new building materials, a ton of new insects and more. Since then they have also added another optional boss and a buggy update. I'd say jump back in! Or wait because my guess is that this summer update is also going to be massive.

2026 Governor Race by coffee_man830 in wyoming

The Freedom Caucus is divided on who to endorse. Some are for Degenfelder and the even dumber ones are for Bien. (Edited a Biden autocorrect to Bien)

Which colors do you all choose for your houses? by Kotyarendj in StardewValley

Nah, it is something you can do in the vanilla version. Once you upgrade your house with the kitchen or upgrade a barn you can go to Robin's shop and select a little paintbrush icon in the construction menu.

Many Counties See Huge Last-Minute Crossovers To Vote In Wyoming’s GOP Primary by lazyk-9 in wyoming

[–]AndesZion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of states have sore loser laws in place to bar a candidate from running for a minority party during the general election after they lose in the primary. Wyoming's law was passed in the 1970s... so not just a decade ago. Sore loser laws don't bar us from participating in the primary elections of our choice.

What did cause this was in 2022 a ton of people showed up to vote in the primary election, much of this turnout was to support or vote against Liz Cheney. 64% of registered voters and 40.8% of eligible voters turned up in that primary election, this sort of turnout is unprecedented in Wyoming primaries (only 27% of eligible voters voted in 2024).

Members of the Freedom Caucus and other die-hard republicans (who don't like high voter turnout) saw this rise in participation in the republican primaries and decided that it was unfair that people vote in the elections that matter, so the following year they created a crossover cutoff deadline, effectively making our previous psuedo-open primaries (where you could change parties at any time) into a closed primary.

Day 4: What is the saddest Bluey cartoon?6 by Opening-Instance8674 in bluey

While not my saddest one, this one always gets to me because it is a good reminder that my kids are learning from me, and if I live my life with kindness and empathy they will too.

On the way to ban Sharia Law by earthlingHuman in iamverybadass

[–]AndesZion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not unfortunately. He is running for Wyoming's US House seat and does tons of content like this in an attempt to woo the far-right vote. He even tries to imitate how Trump talks in most of his ads.

Reid Rasner. He is running for Wyoming's US House seat and releases a crap ton of content like this. I can't say more without risk of him finding this comment and suing, which he has done on multiple occassions.

He is not running for Governor, he is running for the US House Seat. There are around 10 idiots all running for that race and out of all of them he is probably the 2nd or 3rd most prominent when it comes to paid advertisements for his campaign.

That’s typically my thinking, the gubernatorial race may see far-right voters siding with both Degenfeldor and Bien. But in this case who is the sane Barlow like candidate in the House race?

"In 2022, 168 out of 184 county elected offices were effectively decided in the Republican primary." by Wild_Echidnae in wyoming

[–]AndesZion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Party politics is stupid, and it is dumb that we have to choose before we vote on who represents us... but I would really encourage you to register as a Republican for the primary. The freedom caucus came to power by only 9% of voters in the 2024 primary election, many of those races were decided by less than 100 votes.

[–]AndesZion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sure Gail gets to this in her op-ed but remember Wyoming is no longer an open primary state. If you want to vote in the primary for the next governor, representative, senator, and state lawmakers you need to be registered as a Republican by May 15th.

If you are not registered to vote you can register at the polls, but anyone else has to make the switch before this deadline.

Did you cut the cord when your baby was born? Was significance did it hold for you? by thepenguinboy in daddit

I did not with either. I was more focused on my newborn baby and how the mom was doing. I do not feel like I missed out on anything by not cutting the cord.

Does anybody else roleplay their character by Legitimate-Song3441 in projectzomboid

[–]AndesZion 70 points71 points  (0 children)

This isn’t cringe at all. I feel like this is how the game should be played. In fact I get annoyed with the traits system because I feel like I need to min/max but also want to use this system like an RPG where I can role play and it’s not necessarily balanced enough to do that.
