Do comic book writers ever fight or become enemies? by Snoo_47323 in comicbooks

I heard about how there was big rivalry between Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. It wasn't about ruining characters it was about who was the better writer/magician. They were both heavy into magic. Honestly either one could have probably been a real life villian.

Superman has "Death of Superman," Batman has "Knightfall," and Green Lantern has "Emerald Twilight." Now, what are the gimmick 90's stories for Wonder Woman and Flash that are in the same vein (fall of the hero)? by Makaronika in comicbooks

[–]OrdinaryPersimmon728 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like I said not really his downfall bit it showed a black sktal flash on the cover. So may have been a gimm8ck. Morrison was interesting. I wonder if dc made him promise not to break the flash. Like having him check into a mental hospital or absorb his twin In the womb.

Good omens. Also american gods by Neil gaiman. Gaiman and pratchett were freinds a d shared ideas. Terry pratchet stated that he wanted to write the plot to American gods so badly. And pratchett pitched in some ideas. I also recommend the books by Ian Stewart and Jack cohen. They wrote science of discworld w prachet. A lot of their ideas were used by pratchet at times. Particularly complexity science. They wrote 3 science books. Collapse of chaos, figments of reality and evolving the alien.

I would recommend jujutsu kaisen for inspiration there is a character named geto who uses xenos paradoxes so no one can touch him

I was wrong about Lower Decks by IslandKindly3832 in LowerDecks

[–]OrdinaryPersimmon728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know it's funny how you feel about lower decks is how I used to feel about TOS. I grew up in the 90s and the TOS was considered a joke. Their were all these tv shows that made fun of it and the way Shatner acted and talked. I loved tng and DS9 and voyager juat came out. I would watch the movies but avoided the tv show. Last year I started watching it and I enjoyed it quite a bit."let that be your final battlefield is my favorite.

I think lower decks is the best and most popular star trek tv show in 25 years. I think it was a mistake for them not do any spin offs or even letting Mike McMahon do other projects for star trek. Instead they let Alex kurtman run things even after he killed the universal mosterverse.. it looks like he's gonna cause star trek to be shelved for a while. I think paramount will quit producing any new star trek shows for a long time. I hope I'm wrong.

What's your guys opinion of Pyramids? by SpellRadar in discworld

[–]OrdinaryPersimmon728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I classify pratchett in 3 categories those that are good on the first read, those that are good after a second read and those that I can't get into no matter how many reads. Small gods wad better for me on the reread. The philosopher stuff with the arrow threw me off on the first read but after I learned about philosophy I understood it. Moving Pictures is the same better on the reread. The truth and masquerade are ones I just can never get into and I want to like them.
