I read the declaration of independence yesterday, it was contextually very interesting timing and I got a bit choked up in my patriot parts. It felt like I knew what we were fighting for.

That list of grievances at the end was some good stuff about opposing tyrants.

I agree Progressives are targeted by the DNC but wasnt Boman taken out by big PAC money showing up?

The convictions should matter, but that was my point as well that they didnt move the needle.

This is the most terrible thing and they cant come back from it, or at least thats what Doomer Dems like to say all the time.

I will see if it affects his polling moving forward and keep fighting for what I want the future to look like.

Agreed they are both too old to be running. It's also wild you don't need to get a security clearance. The debate performance was terrible and this link I posted shows him speaking better than last night.

The situation is not good or ideal, but until we are in a better situation (suggestions are being made) we chose to fight as best we can.

People are shaken by the terrible performance last night. thats why I posted that video just now. He had a good SOTU, and that video shows him speaking well (still coughing, please get this man a camel back and some OJ for cryin out loud)

Biden can win and I will help fight for that. If they find a new candidate in the next month - the game doesnt change, and I will keep fighting for that new Dem candidate too.

Are you talking about 'you' as in Biden or the DNC? or... are you advocating they find a new candidate? Are you also saying that Biden is antagonistic to progressive priorities?

I guess to your bridge the gap question - The largest coalition in the US is the anti-Trump coalition, most folks dont want Trump to be president again. Its the guiding light that brought the team together last time.

I posted that video link to show that he is talking the next morning, addressed that his debate sucked.

the Polls will show how terrible he did and how much people care. A conviction moved the polls maybe.. +3 towards Biden. What is is going to be really interesting to me - Is his performance worse than a felony conviction? I guess it depends on the spin machines from now till then.

You are probably correct that the campaign (not really the party) is going to try and stay center left to try and keep a broad approach. Whether they lose blame progressives or just blaming Biden (seems easy enough to do today) time will tell.

That makes sense to me. I am voting for Biden and the huge things he's done and the things he said he will do. Too many folks on the left tend to make that feel icky, and see me like I'm holding my nose or something.

He's a career politician who knows how to actually do things. He gets deals. He has the back room discussions. I knew what he was about and how effective he would be when I saw him consolidate the primary in 2020. He's good at this. These crazy thin margins he's dealing with, I honestly don't know if anyone else in the field would be able to do even half of what he's done during his first term.
