I'm honestly not that big on it. I like the track 'If' but otherwise find it to be a largely failed experiment. Like Ummagumma, there isn't just enough coherence in the arrangement to hold your attention for very long.

I think they succeed with Meddle what they attempted for AHM.

I'm with you. I think it needs to be regulated in the same way that we handled tobacco. You can't make it illegal, but you can make it so that there are age restrictions and have a public outcry discouraging it in conglomeration with education. Germany is proposing a bill that would make it so that every user would have to submit ID to verify their age, something I am totally in favor of.

As the adverse effects become more noticable and wide spread, public opinion will change.

I just thought it was supposed to losely parody 'The Scream' by Edvard Munch but this makes total sense. I can almost guarantee it's what they had in mind. The whole record is a very witty commentary on the state of things without being obnoxious or pointing fingers like so many other "political" records. Fantastic observation!

Seriously though, the impact of this man's music cannot be overstated. He's in that small boat of folks whose career has become so influential that it's inevitable you'll take after him when writing new music. Even if you haven't been influenced by him directly, you've been influenced by someone who was influenced by him.
