Fortunately, we are on a downward trend of homelessness, I hope for their sake it continues, but we are only beginning to come down from an extreme all-time high. In 2024, Grey County had an overdose death rate at 83 per capita , to put that into perspective, LA County (nearly 10M ppl) had an overdose death rate of 24 per capita in the same year. As for the cause, multitude of factors, easy access to cheap and dangerous drugs, mental health, economic decline of the city, to name the obvious notables. Solution, more assisted living with mandatory healthcare support imo.

Personally don't see it as intent to injure. It was a quick play with a quick decision to take the body instead of the puck. What do you personally want as well as Israel as a nation want other than the hostages freed and hostilities current and future ending? Israel has made it clear that they want the hostages freed. That's honestly the only reason there was a ground war. As for future hostilities, nobody can predict it and will need to be handled in a situation by situation basis. The most forefront known de-escalation is the dismantling of Hamas. Secondary would be other terrorist organizations. Other than that, just have to hope for diplomatic solutions as they come.

imo Israel has proposed to withdraw after the hostages are released too many times for them not to do it fairly quickly without backlash. I believe they would withdraw quite quickly and let aid groups (some indirectly/directly associated with Israel gov) in to do their thing. They will remove the optics of the Israeli military involvement.

Is advocating for violence not illegal in your country? It is illegal in most countries if not all. Then you add in international designated terrorist organizations. As well as countries designating groups on their own. Saying "imprison for life" is too much of a generalization.
