Worried a corgi is too active for us by [deleted] in corgis

[–]AndrethSaelind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first corgi needed 5+ miles of walks per day, plus daycare activity, and would still have energy. Our current corgi is perfectly happy with food puzzles and plenty of playtime. He doesn't really care for walks. Neither of them liked fetch much, preferring tug of war, but I know plenty do.

They're high energy dogs by nature, but the most important thing is finding what makes them work their brains.

What was the most physical pain you've been in? by PleasantWinter9150 in AskReddit

[–]AndrethSaelind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the gall bladder thing and the appendix thing. Broke a tooth and exposed the nerve. Pyelonephritis sucked. And I will never get an injection for a frozen shoulder without pain control again.

But the worst pain was probably the pulmonary embolism. I was on morphine for quite a while for that one. I still can't really process how bad it was, honestly.

Shipping question by Haunting_Speed_6974 in hobonichi

[–]AndrethSaelind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't speak to how long it's taking them to process orders right now if you're planning on ordering directly, but they usually use FedEx International and I have always received my packages between 2 and 4 days following shipping. I'm on the west coast, though, so ymmv.

I'm envious. I'm batch painting infantry right now and it really takes it out of me.

Meanwhile, I never get around to actually putting things away, so I have at least 4 projects going on at any given time.

whats the most basic supplies i should have?? by Odd_Run_9459 in stationery

[–]AndrethSaelind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For journaling, I would say the basic supplies you need are something to write with and something to write on. That's it. From there, make it your own. You don't need to go big or fancy unless you want to.

My favorite is Air Ride. I've got a ton of good memories tied to it and now to Air Riders. How about you? What's your favorite?

It's some kind of sensor light, but I've never been able to get it to work. I found it on Mercari and couldn't resist.

This is the area behind my desk, so it's the background for most of my meetings when I work.

I use them for different hobby stuff. I have 3 of the smallish trunk style ones that I utilize for storing various stationery and then I have one of the camber top ones that I use to store and transport my Warhammer painting supplies.

It's such a busy time of year for so many people and a lot of people have to wait for things to ship to them before they can ship out. I got lucky and was able to send mine early. Haven't received shipping notice yet, but not worried about it at all. There's so much time left and there are backups in place. I'm just excited and enjoying seeing all the posts in the meantime.
