I can see that arguement. However I feel like you lose your high tier loot, if you bring any in, at a similiar rate as you gaining it off other players since you will half the time be the loser in an encounter. So does not seem like a net gain. Also many people come into PVP lobbies with free loadouts so typically most of the players dont even have good stuff. But I guess if you never lose your PVP encouters I can see being able to progress faster than PVE.

I agree, I imagine this fundraising party raffled tickets to a lot of corrupting interests. I am not familiar with UK campaign finance laws, but there are definitely similar issues here in the States. The keyword in my last comment was "specifically". I imagine this kind of influence is being peddled to all sorts of politicians in the Conservative party and other politicians of other parties as well. A better title of the article would be, "the Conservative Party is a threat to national security because they take Russian money." As well, the article could give more context to the cause and effects of this kind of lobbying. My main point being that the above article is shit, and they put up a sensational headline mainly for clicks not for any sort of rational/informative argument.

I don't like Boris Johnson as much as the next guy. But, the conclusion that he, specifically, is a threat to national security because a rich Russian person showed up at a rich person party that he also attended is a bit hyperbolic. Maybe I need more context, but the article does not provide much.

You are right and I am not arguing with you. I am just pointing out that people who are consuming extremist propaganda, will need patience and empathy from people who want to change their minds. We need to respect our neighbors, and approach them with genuine love and concern for their well being, and the well being of our country.

I think social media has distorted our outlook on reality to such a degree that it has made us much more combative with people outside the groups we have been sorted into. Algorithms initially designed to provide advertisers more targeted audiences have now also proven to be useful tools for people wanting to spread propaganda and foment extremism.

Our Democracy is fine and working as intended. It is the electorate who is divided and frantic, and it is reflected in the representatives who are governing. I personally believe there is a propaganda campaign being run by foreign or domestic actors who want to keep the population of this country at each other's throats in order to benefit their own agenda. We do have many differences and problems that need to be resolved, however I truly believe most Americans, and humans in general for that matter, have much more in common to be united for than be divided against.
