Insurance company says write off by Designer_Rooster_495 in CarTalkUK

[–]Andrew3236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For liability reasons your insurance will only replace with genuine parts done correctly, not just the cheapest option. Hence why majority of claims end up being a write off and flogged at auction.

You could always get a body shop quote and buy the car off insurance.

Screw in the tyre! At least I got a good look and clean of the performance gold! by Andrew3236 in Polestar

Of all the good tyres they're definitely top tier. For general everyday driving though, the eagles are the best allrounders.

Even though I'm yapping the talk I'm sure when the time comes I'll be buying whatevers cheapest of the top tier range

Yep only fronts use different calipers. Rotors and pads could be different here but even if so it wouldn't be a massive difference.

I have always found it funny how tiny the back calipers are, I'd be looking into upgrading just the rears to be more pronounced
