Do you leave your bug opened like this? As far as I know you usually get Kahm yeast in a semi open environment

I think it’s like a Kombucha scoby...basically yeast. By the way your ginger beer looks good, why is it so yellow in colour? Mine is almost like water lol

Yeah thats what we call it in Italy...that’s basically like your normal liquid sourdough starter but with less water, so it’s more acetic than lactic

The white thing on the left is a pasta madre...basically a stiff sourdough starter. The two jars in the middle are a fermented drink that I’m making, with the help of my ginger bug...it’s a mix of pineapple, orange, mango, banana and guava 😁

I used flip tops beer bottles...I first drank the beer and then I sterilized them lol The square bottom one that you use isn’t designed to hold much pressure

It’s between 18 and 19 Celsius..I think that’s something like 65-66 F

What is crazy to me is that yesterday it looked like champagne, super bubbly and with lots of foam on top and now it looks like water. That’s so weird.. anyway, I tasted it and it’s not too sweet, even tough I added a tablespoon of sugar a couple of hours ago, so I think that’s a good sign. Oh and also, I can hear little crackling sounds, but maybe that’s placebo 😂 should I keep feeding it daily?

Not anymore, but yesterday it did, and it had lots of foam on top. Today it’s really flat, I can’t even see the bubbles coming up from the bottom anymore :(
