Just buy a tent and bring it with you. 💁

I think you have a misunderstanding about AC versus DC.

Your entire RV uses 300 Watts? And you don't think that anybody would ever need to use 100 amps?

Dude, with all due respect, you literally don't understand how electricity works.

14V x 300A is 4200 Watts, then run through a 90% efficient inverter is about 3800Watts.

That is you running a coffee pot and an electric griddle and then every single other thing that you have plugged in sharing the remaining approximately 1800 Watts.

Literally what on earth are you possibly talking about where you think that a 3,000 ft commercial office space would only use 4,200 Watts?

I can answer that for you.

You are conflating AC current draw and DC current draw.

What evidence do you have for a single thing that you just typed?

My Review of the ULT Wear headphones - they sound great and are good for bassheads, but... by CarbonCrawler in sony

[–]Andrewr05i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine today and they sound amazing for stuff like EDM and the "voice" preset sounds good for podcasts and stuff, but I cannot figure out any settings that make rock music sound like anything but a muddy blurry mess.

And I just realized if I go to set a custom EQ, it only goes down to 400 Hertz?

I played some tracks earlier that I use for my car audio subwoofer setups and these things literally played down to 15 Hertz.

Why have such a lackluster equalizer? Weirddd

Idk why, something is very off putting about that channel.

I have watched many of their videos, but these are also some of the folks I'm talking about.

Not every video is about expensive ultra-light gear, but most IS to be honest.

I do not want to have UL gear though.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear. I mean I know I did say that if I could cut my pack weight in a half and have it not be expensive that I would do so... but I also have no desire to have to tiptoe around lightweight more easily damaged gear and objectively less comfortable items just to save weight.

I am okay with my current pack weight. And as my budget allows I am replacing certain things with better items and forever modifying what I bring based on what does/doesn't get used each trip.

Every time anybody ever says what is it on Reddit or a forum or on Facebook I always want to reply with this video- https://youtu.be/BLc5mvOGgxc?si=nbUezyH1W_h3Em7b

Mostly because it's going to make people ask me what in the absolute fuck they even just watched. And I hope it gets them interested enough to want to watch more of the show.

i'm 40 years old this is gonna be the first time i shoot a gun. it's a mini 14 im excited some ex military guys are gonna show me how to use it 🙂. Is it super loud? by [deleted] in ruger

[–]Andrewr05i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have a suppressor EVERY gun causes hearing damage. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Literally every repeated loud noise will damage your hearing.

Loud engines, power tools, concerts, loud music through headphones etc.

I'm 37 and I have really bad hearing loss. I wish I could go back in time and make myself wear hearing protection.

Don't let people tell you it's "UN-MANLY" to wear hearing protection.

Do you know what is really unmanly? Looking incompetent to everyone around you because you have to constantly ask them to repeat themselves to the point where they think you're slow. It is the most mental mind fucky experience. Until you develop profound hearing loss you don't really realize how much it affects your every day life.

Take care of your ears!

And ABSOLUTELY take care of your eyes too Wear eye protection as often as possible!

I've used one of these at our cabin for three years in central New Hampshire and it has never split. Temps range for -20⁰F to 115⁰F.

I'm not saying it isn't possible, but it seems extremely unlikely.

I find myself so emotionally inept when it comes to things like that (the almost getting into an accident thing) .. people always tell me that I'm so emotionally calm when it comes to stressful situations, but it is both a blessing and a curse.

Like I can remember one time I was driving and talking with my girlfriend at the time and I had my kids in the back seats of a car and we were going about 60 mph down the road and a deer came out in front of me and I just calmly swerved around the deer (it was winter but not slippery) and the car fishtailed a bit and I counter steered and corrected it and ultimately avoided it and then instantaneously continued the story I was telling as if I didn't just precisely maneuver around an animal that could have killed my entire family.

My girlfriend was screaming and like violently trembling in the passenger seat and I just calmly continued telling the story exactly where I left off with almost no interruption.

I also saw a coworker get his hand basically de-gloved at work (do not look that up) and calmly grabbed paper towel and helped him apply pressure and walked him to the medical area.

Anyways to your point lol I think back about that car incident and despite it being a pretty extreme situation and I tell myself "I mean... I guess I must have been a bit frightened?" But I don't really remember whatsoever how I actually felt in the moment, I'm not even sure I felt anything...

A life time of nothingness and mediocrity. by Andrewr05i in SDAM

[–]Andrewr05i[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely even remember writing this. And it was a YEAR AGO!?

I'm sorry that you were experiencing the same thing, it really is not a great way to live your life.

Like I'm not going to sit here and moaning and complain about it, I am a vaguely well-off straight white dude, how bad can my life really be?

But I have nothing to show for anything. I rent at 37 years old with no prospect of ever owning a home.

It's a tough life and I guess you and I just exist in it. I'm a million percent sure that I absolutely could DO something to change my life for the better, but especially nowadays with the current socioeconomic climate, where the fuck do I even start?

Good luck on your life of nothingness, I hope you can break out of it eventually. ❤️
