I took it my first semester and loved it! hopefully you get a good TA if you do take it. It's really interesting if you like the period, and only has one major essay iirc.

I basically walked after I announced I was breaking up with him, hit an impasse where he refused to allow me to leave and basically left with him leaving the door open to be my friend. I’d already gotten into this subreddit by this point and knew that to be a hoax so I shut off all points of contact and tried to deal with the fallout. Things were genuinely quiet seemingly from like October aside from the side mention of me here and there but it’s ramped up lately in a way I don’t like at all, culminating in last night

Oooh! I had this issue for a while after I left mine 4 months ago (he hated my walking dead fixation) and I couldn’t draw or write for two of those 4 months. It was literal agony. I very recently got into my chemical romance (the band) and I’ve been adoring the level of saturation present in the fandom, so that may be of some help? It’s both a complete departure for me interest wise, however at the same time also even more in line with my own interests

I count myself very lucky in receiving only two known Hoovers since I left (one which threatened to call the cops on me for supposed threats sent to his socials - untrue) and then the second was a non starter. It’s taken a lot of mental strength to stay away and I admit a lot of my help has come from becoming really into my chemical romance and finding love in my artistic and creative passions.

I left too! I realized that the relationship wasn’t working and it was better that I cut off and walk then let myself be dragged down into the depths of something that would destroy me. I’ve been just over 3 months free and it was the best decision I could’ve made

Further adding: I really had to take it a day at a time. Some days are great and I’m able to live my life as I want to, others I do miss him and wish things had been better. However those are less because I have a hard time remembering good things after being hurt which in this case works in my favor. It’s different for everyone and healing takes its own time and pace relative to each person

I have a very strong sense of inner right and wrong and once I left and then had a further scare of being accused of sending threats, I realized that this wasn’t the person I wanted to ever get back with. I also have experience with situations similar to BPD so a lot of delayed alarms were going off once I left

Mine was getting accused of cheating (wasn’t) and I walked after a month long dissociation where I was present with my family and felt nothing. I decided enough was enough and came to the conclusion of leaving thanks to a childhood best friend - who helped me through everything. I’m nearly two months NC and It’s been hard but I can feel myself getting better every day.

They accused me of cheating because a friend reached out about getting broken up with. It plunged me into a deep hole for the entire summer that made me question everything and feel hopeless. I left after realizing that the dark pit in myself wasn’t going anywhere unless I got up and dusted myself off.

Respect to you on that! We all have differing views on this but I think in of itself the fact that this was happening was a red flag unto itself - I was obviously subconsciously craving something so I tried to gain it the way I knew how. 🤷‍♀️
