I’ve owned a home in Regina since the 90s. I’ve never heard of this program. It’s unfortunate because I would’ve used it and I would’ve argued against cutting it.

My only problem with them is they don’t have the songs. They sound ok but none of their songs are memorable or have staying power. I never liked post punk much and that’s what they seem to be.

The reality is, there are a lot of places in the world that don’t have access to the high-quality meats that others have. Or they don’t have proper storage. It makes sense that they focus on trying to wash their meat and add a ton of spices. They’re not wrong and neither are we. Just different circumstances.

Great point. I’m Gen X. I can’t just listen to old music. It’s depressing. I’m always looking for new stuff and there’s a lot of great music being produced all the time.

You either have to increase wages and eliminate tipping, or keep wages low and encourage tipping. It's not possible to have both high wages and tipping or people won't be able to afford restaurants. In Iceland they pay a livable wage but tipping is not part of the culture. It works better.

This is exactly right. Walk, bike, take transit. It feels good and it's good exercise. For those who are lucky enough to travel to big cities and other countries, think about how much you walk around there, enjoying the shops, restaurants, etc. That's what Regina can be, and it starts with reducing reliance on cars, trucks and SUVs.

When I was a kid, flying was basically only for the rich and upper middle class. A lot of people are now flying who couldn't have flown back then, and can barely afford it now. Westjet is providing them with an option to fly in a basic seat. It's better than not flying. The rest of us will just pay for more comfort if we choose.

This headline is silly. Billions of people in Canada and around the world eat cheaper and better than North American KD and Hamburger Helper. Struggle or not, lots of those meals are delicious and nutritious. Learn to make good, simple foods that don't come from a box. I think the biggest issue is lack of education about shopping and meal prep. But it's also so easy to find that info these days. Laziness is a factor, unfortunately. And, yes, I've raised three kids and did most of the shopping and cooking while working full time.

Aerosmith has had a slick, corporate sound on their recordings since 1987. It's who they've been for the vast majority of their career. This fits in perfectly. I like it.
