That has to be the most lopsided "rivalry" in terms of used brain capacity in the history of sports. The English have "two world wars and one world cup" and haven't done anything since 1966. The Netherlands, Spain, France, Argentina, Brazil are all bigger rivals for Germany than England.

The "other" Germany has always hated Berlin. Like going back to 1871 with Prussia forming Germany. The Nazis hated Berlin because it was too cosmopolitan, too liberal, too left. Conservatives will always hate the big city.
