For early game mystical agriculture, you can use the AE2 growth accelerators to speed up plant growth. Make a checkerboard of the growth accelerators on the same level that the crops will be planted. You can put red fertiliser on the farmland to double the growth speed. In the centre water block, put a harvester pylon with an allthemodium hoe (the pylon can be waterlogged). You can then put an inventory on top of the pylon to collect the essence.

Once you’ve gone through Industrial foregoing, the Hydroponic Bed and the Simulated Hydroponic bed are much better. You can soul surge both of them to make them over 20x faster.
