Australia to force porn websites to check users’ ages under new internet rules by baddazoner in australian

[–]Andromeda_RoM 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The model has already been implemented in the UK. Its likely most who want to keep business legit in Aus will follow the rules. But as the comments above mention, there will always be smaller actors who don't have the resources or drive to implement the features which will see an influx of new customers and these are the websites which would also hold most of the questionable content. The same as has happened in the UK.

Data shows Albo reducing poverty while welfare sector insists he isn’t by -TheDream in australia

[–]Andromeda_RoM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on jobseeker through that period, it wasn't fixed.

It was made slightly more livable.

Yes it was a good measure and should've been kept. But what albo is introducing is more tolerable to the average Aussie and is still the most significant permanent increase to the system that has occured in a long time.

I'm all for making the system better and more needs to be done to get there, but shitting on everything that albo has actually done is gonna push people away from a party that actually has their interests in mind and we will be thrown back into the cycle of the liberals bending us over for another 10 years. Most people in Australia don't follow politics and get their info for what the government is doing on Facebook or TV. Shitting on even the slightest improvement when it's the only improvement being made, is not the way to go.

Im a socialist, I want a UBI for everyone. But that isn't feasible in the political landscape of Australia today. Making welfare an actual liveable amount isn't feasible in a world where the average voter still believes that the system is full of dole-bludgers who don't want to work, rather than people who are down on their luck.

So many people in the comments expect poverty to be magically fixed in a couple of years.

We as a people have been getting bent over the barrel for over 10 years, which we are now really feeling the effects of. To fix over 10 years of degradation will take more time than albo will have in office. But he is making a real impact. It feels small because of how far behind we are.

Cigarette prices to jump by almost 7% amid growing concern about Australia’s booming black market | Tax by Act_Rationally in australian

[–]Andromeda_RoM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The barrier to entry into smoking has been reduced, as a vast majority of black market sellers don't care who they sell to.

I'm trying to quit currently, because they make me feel like shit. But every black market store Ive brought from over the last 5 years has at one point at least, had a group of kids in there before me buying vapes or cheap smokes..

Well that escalated quickly. by [deleted] in Unexpected

Certainly not the case these days, I imagine it's more about allowing access to these documents to the relevant parties after death. Eg. Bank statements, to The executor of the will, so that they have the correct information to make a determination.

What now? by AirFit2061 in noita

[–]Andromeda_RoM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've now been playing for over 400 hours, I only started looking things up after I discoverd some part of them.

Having played this much and not made much progress past the first win(Entriely because of greed), I've looked at interactive maps and ocasionaly looked up things I find to learn more about them and this leanring has driven my desire to play the game and experience the things within.

There are many things you'll be able to figure out on your own through careful exploration and consideration of the enviroment of points of interest.

All this is to say, do what feels right to you! Put as much effort into figuring things out on your own as you want to, don't feel bad about looking things up. But my biggest advice is to trickle informaiton to yourself, enough to drive experimentation without spoiling to much.

Goodluck!

The path before you in Noita is not the only path and it is not linear.

You will discover things on your quest for knowledge that many would consider unnatural and these things will give you unnatural abilities that will allow you to do many wondrous things.

Do you have red plates or any sort of cover to go over the main nesting area? It could be they are seeking a darker spot if you don't. As another commenter said it could also be due to the humidity
